it scares me seeing how close the end of the rod is to his balls what if the fish jerks when hes not ready he lets go of pole and it get wedged under his balls the middle of it is on the kayak bending the rest is under water getting pulled down and in turn is ripping upwards on his balls

If you can get some live bait it's well worth the effort if you want to get some big fish. There's heaps of good sites to check out.

best video about kayak fishing on youtube! Im really impressed you can handle 3 fishing rods at the time! Just a little question: Would you do that?: Catch small fish in the ocean ( something like a herring) and then put that on the big hook on the hand line and wait for some bigger fish. I have got kayak, and all the gear it's just Im a noob with fishing and know nothing about the baits and lures.. Any help or links to good websites with guidelines would be greatly appreciated. @Nogard2oo7 you can definatly do that, thats whats called "matching the hatch", using as bait what the fish are feeding on (look that up on google to find out more). In most saltwater that is perfectly legal, however some places do have laws against that, so just check with the local guidlines before doing that just to be safe.

im just curious but what is the point of tagging sharks i have no idea but im an experienced angler and a kayak fishermen at 15 thanx =]

@d0wnto3arthshuffl3r Its to study thier behavioural movements, we dont know alot about sharks and their is a very uneducated people out there that consider all sharks dangerous and will kill them on sight. also the developing countries of the world such as malaysia and inodnesia kill thousands of sharks a year which turns the oceans into a wasteland, they are vital to the foodchain. because of tagging science can determine the life span and mating habbits from thier DNA. hope this helped.
