  • Thank you for uploading this video. However, I must regret to inform you that if I see someone else has uploaded the non- original version I will kill an orphan. THEY WERE MAKING LOVE IN THE GREEN GRASS! Sheesh there are songs out today titled "Fuck you" and this is censored?

  • Why isn't one of the versions the right words!?!?!? Why do they always take out the MAKING LOVE part?!?!? What crap!! They keep in all the foul language of today's music!?!?!?

  • I had heard or read too long ago to rememeber where that the ORIGINAL title was my "Brown Skinned Girl" and the lyrics were somewhat different as they referred to an inter-racial relationship. Van Morrison was pressured by the label who signed him into changing it given the fact it was 1967 & America was struggling with the Civil Rights Movet. Later? the Rolling Stones released "Brown Sugar" as a test to see how American would react? Can someone clarify who really KNOWS about this.

  • @eleni1968 Brown sugar referred to heroin not skin colour and like the song cocaine and others like lucy in the sky with diamonds (LSD) was popular in that era as was jimi Hendrix purple haze, dave bowies major Tom in ashes to ashes etc.

  • us with blue-eyed girlfriends feel a little weird when listening to this song.. lmfao

  • I played this for my first brown-eyed girlfriend and found it a very useful song to play as the years went by to a number of brown-eyed beauties.... Thanks Van for your song... it has paid big dividends over the years.
