You know I can't say this is a real bad show I mean back when this came out they didn't really have a good design of things like simon or mega man I can't. Say they screwed up mother brain completely cause the first metroid game was the only one around at the time of this show and mother brain didnt look really like anything I mean the super metroid one had a basic design but the one in the first one really looked like nothing in surprised ridley or didn't get in this show or kraid

Yeah i grew up with this show too. by the time i started seeing it i was 12 in 1990. it on tv on weedays by then and that's when i seen it..one thing i regret is i never bought that NES controller that captain was using at the begining.i can probably find on ebay or somehing! LOL! good times!

@T0mat0S0up long live the nintendo generation, back when games actually were worth something. $8 for nes games $12 for snes games. yet they lasted (the actual time it took to beat the game) for weeks. nowadays its $60 and it doesn't even last 6 hours. its all about graphics nowadays, storylines are crap and you feel dissappointed for your time spent shortly after completion.

@tristenblount I'm 15 and know about the blowing on cartridge thing. It happened on my older brothers NES and our N64. I also remember a Mario 64 cart getting washed in the laundry and still working, good times.

@MRLOL785 then you are one of the few. nintendo waited far too long to switch from cartridge to cd, which hurt their sales and let sony and microsoft take over as the kingpins of gaming. But nintendo was namebrand, most of the greatest games in gaming history are on nintendo. back in the day sega put out more games but the quality of games was far superior on the super nintendo.

@MRLOL785 most definitely and that was the main reason why the held on to the cartridge format, for the 64 when playstaion went with the cd. popular games like final fantasy required the space that a cd provided for all the cutscenes and more database for level designs and character development. and the number thing that has killed games in the last few years, graphics!!!! gameplay and replay valued have taken a backseat to how well the game looks. there are exceptions but not many

In my webcomic, I've wrote it so that Kevin never went home and eventually became the King of Videoland. Then Mother Brain transformed King Hippo and Eggplant Wizard into the two bosses from Metroid...

Something happens after that, but I haven't worked on the comic far enough to get to what happens.

You know, I remember watching this on Saturdays as a little kid impatiently waiting for Mario to come on. I'd be sitting on the floor snacking on some pudding cups and reading my NES strategy guides for SMB 3 and Ultima Exodus. Actually it's the third intro. The second had Princess Lana provide the narration and Game Boy shows/becomes the Captain N logo at te end. This intro was used during Captain N's third season when it was time shared with Super Mario World.
