  • He reminds me so much of Bob Dylan.. I really like it

  • Wilco just rocks! Never heard anyone sing so much from their heart....

  • Wilco seems to have this ability to remind us of what we always think we know and should know but always forget. (; Thanks...I needed to hear it.

  • I agree, they also seem to do a good job of summing up my life. Hats off Wilco, hats off.

  • these guys are so awesome

  • lol wow

  • Wilco is great. I just saw them live, it was one of the best show's I've seen. They are a great recording and live band! That's hard to find. Most bands are either one or the other.

  • Such Dylan-esque pacing and melody on the verse

  • obama loves wilco and so do i

  • Such an uplifting tune.

  • Sounds like Paul Westerberg. I love both artists.

  • i agree.

  • Pretty great but no Ryan Adams

  • ha.. ryan adams??..not even in Jeffs ballpark...

  • Keep on wishin Tabwish,Ryan Adams throws songs like this away.

  • Sure...Ryan Adams will be dead in 10 yrs and Tweedy and Wilco we still be performing and then further down the line inducted..

and i think RA is talented..

  • stop fighting over music. Both are very talented.

  • he is just a great songwriter, there aren't that many of them out there.

  • I love this! Good post!

  • It's cool to see that there are still songs to be written from these same old basic chords. If you like great song writers, check out Townes Van Zandt.

  • Dylan or the Beatles no matter.....This is Wilco coming to terms with itself........they are just Wilco

  • I can agree i hear some dylan in verse, just the way some of the words rhyme.

  • this band saved my life. when i hear their music, i feel like i know jeff tweedy.

  • THere's some Dylan in here, sure, but I think the album is more influenced by the Beatles than Dylan--the lyrics are much more personal and less abstract, and the drums and bass interact in a much more Beatlesque way than a lot of modern music I've heard.

  • not to mention i thought it was john lennon singing when i first heard 'either way' by wilco

  • i like to walk through the streets with clothes on and invite wilco to join me..... on my ipod. <3

  • what a great band! perfect!

  • gran grupo pero en mi humilde opinion sobrevalorado.

  • l'écureuil dramatique

    joue de la guitare

    mieux que wilco

    hahaha

  • Very Bob Dylan influenced maybe?

  • Vote,

    A very definite maybe.

  • i would say yes. i think dylan is an influence on a lot of wilcos music, but this song i can really hear it. maybe like blood on the tracks era dylan.

  • tweedy is a hero

  • Wilco rules...Tweedy is a great songwriter, one of the best today...

  • Zaiide te quiero y burton no te asustes que es mi amor platonico nada mas

  • im wilco's biggest fan. this song pretty much changed my life. I hurt my leg a lot today and i can tell you that it feels a lot better after listening to this song

  • voices don't matter -clothes don't matter

    propoganda leads you to ruin

    - intentions in this world ...do!

    ◊◊◊◊

  • I'm gonna run naked through the streets and dedicate it to Wilco.

  • jeff is from my home town i love wilco so amazing i saw them in columbia mo a few weeks ago and it was amazing

  • belleville is my mecca!! and maybe magic mountain, all rolled up into one...:)

  • I love Jeff Tweedy's voice.

  • wilco just cant make a bad album

  • people are hear to listen to great music not read links to porn sites quit polluting this board with your dame porn crap!

  • damnright you are!!

  • It would be great if Wilco did the same thing as Pearl Jam,you know, "official bootlegs".They are great live band and their live shows are distinctive.Forty live albums would do,I hope.

  • i still refer to wilco as the grateful dead of the new millenium. saw them a few months ago in calgary and the show was incredible.

  • how you could compare the two let alone refer to one as the other is beyond me

  • what, you don't think they stretch the boundries and care little if they get the airplay other popular bands crave? you don't think tweedy's voice is somewhat reminiscent of the late great jerry garcia? i make the comparison only when trying to enlighten those who have never heard of wilco. i think the analogy is a good one. if you don't, that's fine. maybe you're not a fan of either band.

  • yea, i think these guys are awesome. pure ya know... anyone like ben kweller- same feel good vibe. check him out.

  • sounds sort of like Bob Dylan

  • yeah they are really good live i just saw them a week ago. jeff tweedy is a total badass

  • wunderbar ... lets drink all the tears ... together!

  • It's so cool, all my friends seem to be getting into Wilco now. I'm really thrilled that we can all share in following the best contemporary band going.

  • i really like wilco but after a 3 year wait i am really disappointed with "sky blue sky", i thought it is pretty lackluster. impossible germany to me is the only really great song, i think the last loose fur lp was much better. let's hope they have a new record before 2010.

  • After making records as amazing as Yankee Hotel Foxtrot and A Ghost Is Born Wilco can do whatever they like...it's a cool chill out album...bet their next one is amazing.

  • One of the best things about them is the way they're always defying everyone's expectations. They are artists doing things strictly on their own terms.

  • Incredible song. I love this cd.

  • Really- what the f--k are these asses talking about, ripping off this one and that one. When you think about it, all artists (including comedians) "borrow" from each other. It's only when they become so similar that they are indistinguisable, that they become "hacks". Give Wilco a break he makes great music.

  • This song rips off Bill Joel's classic, the piano man.

  • "Bill Joel"? Who the fuck calls him "Bill Joel" anyway? And how does it rip off "Piano Man"-- just cos it's in 6/8?

And if you really want a "guitar beast" record, just go back to all those Yngwie albums you hide from your friends, and continue to practice sweep-picking on your pointy Jackson guitar, douchebag.

  • Billy Joel has taken direct melodic lines from classical pieces.

  • And stop trying to be a proper poet, Jeff.

  • Well, they are due a shite record (they haven't had one since A.M.), and it looks like this is it.....

He needs to re-arrange the band (again) and stop using JUST open chords.

I was hoping for a guitar beast album in the vain of "at least thats what you said....kidsmoke."

    Oh well.

  • Glenn Kotche is hott.

  • zzzZzzzzZ... mumble... *yawns* looks around, closes eyes again... zzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

  • maybe even puts ear plugs in...

  • What I LOVE is Wilco and their music. What I hate is all the dicks that ponder what it all means or whether its good or not to them. If you like it enjoy. If you don't, easy. Don't listen. Quit the bickering you dicks! Write your own songs and shut the Fuck up. Ooh yeah, by the way. Jeff, I love you~!

  • massive letdown?!? are you on crack?

  • This song looks like Bob Dylan´s.

  • Sky Blue Sky was a massive let down this is the only track on it which is good enough for Wilco

  • Best American Band Period!!!

  • Amongst a catalogue of phenomenal albums, probably the best and most beautiful of them all...

  • does anyone have anything else from the new album on here like side with the seeds that song owns

  • Exile on Michigan Ave. Outstanding

  • I love Glenn's drumming on this version of the song. His cymbal ride hits really give this version something extra.

  • if you listen to this on the website its amazing I'm so excited for the new album.

  • Absolutely my favorite from the new....SBS!!!

  • awesome

  • Hooray! A new Wilco album upon us!
