Grow up! Name calling is out of fashion no matter how old you are.
Second, a communist is a representative of communism so one implies the other.
Third, an easy way of knowing if they are commies, and they are not, is to read the definition of communism : Wiki it! Both of them want universal health care like every other highly industrialized country but they want CLEAN, LEGAL and BALANCED economic competition. Thats a right-center policy.
Well, there it is, out in the open. A planned conspiracy to spread misinformation to scare Americans back into the arms of private insurance, just like they did when Clinton tried to get universal healthcare. And you know the worst part? Americans don't care. They are so scared of the words "government" and "healthcare" in the same sentence, that even though they Know the insurance cos. will deny them treatment, they will fight to keep them; kind of like fighting to protect your own killer.
They think the American public is so stupid right now that all they have to do is say the word socialism and death panels and the American public will think we've headed down paths of darkest Russian communism. If I was one of these pathetic, easily corrupted politicians who lacked all integrity,.. I would atleast demand that Cigna and all the other companies pay me tens of millions of dollars for my vote against Obamas plan!
This multibillion dollar industry needs this legislation to drop dead like we need air.
People pay up to their nose for Insurance Policies that refuse to pay -- whats the point of buying it? There is nothing funny about death and an insurance company such as Progressive that REFUSES to honor their policy. Progressive is nothing more than a Ponzi Scheme in which the Corporate Executives get rich and leave injured policy holders bogus insurance policies which are not worth the paper they are written on. See Progressive Insurance Has Treated Me as Roadkill Don't buy Progressive!
It finally reveals the price of the reckless ambitions of our current government... including tax increases that would take us to even higher levels than most of Europe!
Anyone who wants to read the actual health care bill is free to do so via a link I have posted in the comment section of my profile. amy had obama's doctor of 20 years on today. he was quite adamant and explained quite clearly that a 'universal healthcare', program with input from drug companies and insurance companies will result in a bureaucratic nightmare!
which is what we all ready have. billions of dollars spent to keep americans from getting care.
You want to give the power of life and death of every single American by force no less to the State? Would that be the same State you trust so much? The same State that has a Congressional appproval rating of 13% the lowest in recorded history? Would that be the same sate that invented the Social
Security ponze sceem. The same State that brought you the military industrial complex? The same State that consumes 40% of all the human labor in the country?

well 'putitogether', when you criticize the "state" in 2009, you're criticizing a government run by corporations. so we agree on the same thing, get these money sucking greedy corporate gluttons out of our government, give us a fair and affordable run health care that will eliminate your other state/corporate run system and americans win.
your days are numbered ass wipe. and if you creeps get into the government program, we'll make another sweep until you're all in the unemployment line.
tomitstube, Jane you ignorant slut. You want that same group (the State) that has screwed you all your life to now run a single payer health care system, where your very life depends on it? How is the fool here?
Hey, I'm 44 and do not have health care. I was born here and have been working fulltime since I was 16, and I know I do not deserve it. We need the system to stay the same where i will also die without health care. I'm not as smart as those others who have better jobs, im not rich to have gone to school to get a better job, i don't need to blame anyone but myself. Yeah there's millions of us at last count, thousands die daily. survival of the fittest (just like it says in the satanic bible.)
Yankhadenough - You are so right. Everybody knows that government run programs are better than free people making decisions for themselves. We need to force people to pay into a national system like Canada. Freedom sucks and is stupid. Socialize medicine now. Put the power where it belongs in the politicians hands.
putittogether your only weapon is sarcasm, because you are a disinfo agent from a wayback machine with really old propaganda (commie behind every bush ). Single Payer merely ELIMINATES the middlemen (insurance corruptions) who OBSTRUCT our freedom of choices of our private doctors and our private Hospitals and our private specialists NOW.
Free people making decisions? Free Americans would *LOVE* to make the decision to buy affordable health insurance, but they cannot do it. If they have a pre-existing condition, they are blacklisted. If they can't pay large deductibles and co-pays, they don't get service. And if they are a member of the "working poor," they probably can't even afford to be seen by a doctor.
It's amazing how easily the ill-informed and ignorant faction of the right-wing can be used by the healthcare industry.
Weleski You ignorance is unforgivable. For your mistake will cost me and other everything our live and your in fact. Its simple unforgivable. You fail to ask the most basic questions first.

6. Why doctors licenses?
7. Why not reform medical malpractice laws

ObamasBabyMama That's a fallacy. Canada sends the most urgent cases to USA if the urgency outweighs the triage time in Canada, and Canada PAYS for whatever medical is provided by US. My friend was a TOURIST in Canada , had abdominal pains , was triaged in Canada ER as Ovarian Cancer in early stages, had surgery and recovery time, and went back to Oregon cured and no medical bills!
In the words of the American right-wing, "What?! Why should *I* have to pay for the medical care of some foreigner?! Don't you realize that those are *MY* tax dollars??? Plus, all government-run programs are disastrous. Forget that! I prefer a system where 40+ million Americans don't have health insurance and where corporate middlemen siphon billions out of the system each year!"
My employer has my son registered in their benefits database as a permanent disabled adult dependent, no more paperwork , no more hassles. Even though that is the case, Blue Cross Blue Shield STILL had me jump through more hoops to "renew" my son's disabled adult dependent status !
odd that the sods who run the current health care system in the USA are spending MILLIONS of dollars to try to STOP the people of the USA having a good affordable health care system...
what makes it even odder is that the sods seems to have quite a few senators in their back pocket.. it the UK that is known as BRIBERY and CORRUPTION!

I went to the hospital once last year for some tests. They did every test in the book, and as it turns out it was stress or something. It cost about 10 G's, and my insurance covers nothing outside my Dr.'s office, even if it's in the same building, it's still not covered! Anyway, they are relentless with phone calls harassing me to get paid and putting me into collections! They call 5 + x a day, they are relentless. Talk about stress!
West Tn was sprayed 7 years with MALATHION Paid 1/2 Fed Gov AG & Farmers BoWeevil Erad 46 yrs young and VERY SICK Dept of Human Ser.says I do NOT Qualify Not illegal or w/ child
"According to the Economist the total US spend on health care is 15.4% of GDP including both state and private. With that it gets 2.6 doctors per 1,000 people, 3.3 hospital beds and its people live to an average age of 78.2. As a whole Europe spends 9.6% of GDP on health care, has 3.9 doctors per 1,000 people, 6.6 hospital beds and live until they are 81.15 years old. The US has the most expensive health care system that seems not to be effective, which is very bizarre indeed.
Right now, the insurance corporations are pooling in the best & most expensive media spin-doctors to campaign against health care reform.Observe how network news will shift gradually using "cue-words" or images in their reports towards a thought that will favor these oppressive industry.
Don't forget about former GOP senate leader Bill Frist.
Frist has a fortune in the millions of dollars, most of it the result of his ownership of stock in Hospital Corporation of America, the for-profit hospital chain founded by his brother and father. HCA paid over $1.7-billion in criminal penalties for Medicare fraud. Frist's 2005 financial disclosure form lists blind trusts valued between $15 million and $45 million
Great idea. It is available for rental and the folks need to go and watch it again and again. It's a crying shame that this country has so many uninsured.
I donated $50.00 towards President Obama's & Mitch Stewart's Healthcare campaign. It's probably a drop in the bucket but at least I can sleep a little bit. If only half of America would do it then maybe we can beat them at their game.
Not really...It's complicated. Follow the money...
Mostly it's right wing groups that want Obama and the Democrats to fail. Then, there has always been the right wing nightmare that if you get universal healthcare it will be an entitlement, and entitlements take away tax dollars for corporations and business.
One of the reasons the Bush administration ran up the defit was to starve the federal government of money so it can't do things like health care.
Corporations are not our friends. They are soulless, immortal behemoths whose prime directive is to parasitically suck up as much wealth, power and influence as possible before their host, us, realize that their "business" activities are literally killing us.
No other industry makes this argument as obvious as the private, for-profit health care insurance industry does.
Its good to see more videos of how truthful moore was on his DOCUMENTARY... Americans need to fucking wake up and notice that a healthcare system that only worries wether or not u can pay their fees is not a truth and careful system, just a money maker for the big bosses. I live in United States of America and I'm proud to be a Resident of this great country and can't wait to become a citizen. I love this country but the healthcare here is honestly the biggest piece of shit I have ever seen.
Pufff, i didn't live in that time, we are talking about the present, stick to it. And you talk about slaughtering native people, have you forgotten that ALL colonizers did that shit?Come on. Also, don't say a country sucks just because of one thing. This is the 5th country I have been in my entire life(all in america) and you have no idea what a bad country is. Compared to them, USA has tons of things which makes it great.
of course all colonizers did - I say it about them all.
I can't be bothered going into your other points except to say that of course america has things that make it great - my overall point is that most places do but most other places don't bang on about being the greatest country on earth - the yanks do - and it isn't - no country is
their lack of national health care, their frivilous law suits, backwards religious attitudes, global warming denial they have a long way to go to claim greatest
Good points and brutally honest. The USA has a long way to go before it can call itself 'civilized'. The climate change issue is a very sad situation. Turns out the level of religiosity is directly linked to the level of denial in AGW. I guess the sky daddy worshippers think only their god can screw up the earth's ecosystems.
Yes it's a pitty. With climate change, the water problems in California/Nevada and the financial meltdown. People are still not willing to realize that there Way of Living was a totoal failure.
One example of your greatness: One sunny sunday morning 10000 people died in the streets of panama city just because an insane president was pissed up by an ex CIA terrorist friend named Noriega. Compare this with the few people who died on 9/11.
I meet a well educated charity foundraising woman yesterday in a restaurant - she didn't know the difference between U3 and U6 unemployment statistics.
No no, USA was never great - it was always a terrorist state full of idiots.
The USA's current healthcare system will tell you that they are the best in the world. But, it comes with a price, if you don't have the money, you can't get healthcare.
I am not saying "free healthcare" to all, but make it available to all that need it.
Someone has been getting robbed for to long now, yes, you, me and the general public.
How good is Amy Goodman? Two questions in 5 and a half minutes. Unlike other newspeople, Amy knows how to let the person tell their story without interjecting. She is just way too competent at her job for corporate news.
Amy is a God! Listen to this testimony, then turn on Fox News and listen to evangelist Huckabee rail against universal healthcare Jesus would be all for helping the sick, wouldnt he? Honest peolle can see through the corporate media's spin in favor of the industries they serve

See Sicko

Reform health care? Yeah,right.

Lol, that's just for 2008. The former CEO of United Healthcare retired with over 4 billion dollars. I wonder how many people he killed to get that?!

Michael Moore should re-release Sicko again, right now in all the theaters across the country. It would be nice to watch it on the silver screen.

If only half of America would do it then maybe we can beat them at their game.
pongman 2 years ago
I bought the DVD when it was released. I'm going to have a health reform get together at my house and show it.
Maybe that'll help counteract the $1.82 billion the "health industry" has put into defeating any kind of reform.

I am wondering if a crappy outlet like Fox News would run such interview??
Francebrasil 2 years ago
All the major news outlets are connected, invested or owned by corporations connected to the health care Industry

I agree, but perhaps on TV this time.

Answer to your question; Nope, they sure wouldn't.
saxmanchiro 2 years ago
Corporations are not our friends. They are soulless, immortal behemoths whose prime directive is to parasitically suck up as much wealth, power and influence as possible before their host, us, realize that their "business" activities are literally killing us.
No other industry makes this argument as obvious as the private, for-profit health care insurance industry does.

Americans need to stand up what is right, even if it's against the grain. Michael Moore is NO pushover. we need more patriots like him.

Your country is not great anymore. Michael Moore is a person who wants to re-glorify this once prosperous nation.
Gesundheitsschadlich 2 years ago 2
their country was never great - certainly not by any definition of great that I am familiar with.
I mean they started off with slaughtering the native people and animals - and then they cranked it up a notch and it went downhill from there
thenewvoice8 2 years ago 2
Pufff, i didn't live in that time, we are talking about the present, stick to it. And you talk about slaughtering native people, have you forgotten that ALL colonizers did that shit?Come on. Also, don't say a country sucks just because of one thing. This is the 5th country I have been in my entire life(all in america) and you have no idea what a bad country is. Compared to them, USA has tons of things which makes it great.
pjce3 2 years ago
of course all colonizers did - I say it about them all.

I guess the sky daddy worshippers think only their god can screw up the earth's ecosystems.
saxmanchiro 2 years ago 3
Yes it's a pitty. With climate change, the water problems in California/Nevada and the financial meltdown. People are still not willing to realize that there Way of Living was a totoal failure.
It's disgusting.

No no, USA was never great - it was always a terrorist state full of idiots.

yea, it does...But health care isn't one of them...
