WOW! This guy definitely has some of the most incredible technique I've seen from any player. Ever! He transitions from one to another so smoothly and effortlessly. But having the ability to slow it down and play with fire and passion is just as crucial as having incredible technique. Having a good melodic sense is important as well. And while I'm not familiar with much of his music, if he has the ability to do that as well as he can shred, then he's surely destined to become a guitar legend.

@ffheim Im not suprised that your impressed by someone that can play fast. Once you work up the speed and coordination playing fast like him is easy. Its muscle memory. Anyone who's put the time in can play fast. But it takes a special breed and a special mindset to create memorable melodies. Creating melodies is one of the hardest skills to learn. I know 15 guitarists. 3 of them can write good melodies. Speed is good but without a melody its useless. DragonForce is a good exaple with some songs

@PO3TRYFL0W There's always room for improvement. Even Les Paul a true master of guitar stated that he learns new thing everyday about guitar. Fernando is a very good guitarist, his technique is very clean and skillfull and he has my respect for but there is still ways he can improve.

.Just because he practiced for five months to do 10 seconds of playing the fretboard with two hands, doesn't make him godly. He plays so sloppy compared to Holdsworth, Batio, Govan, Abasi, Mansoor, Loomis, Gilbert, Breau. The list goes on.

Guthrie Govan blows anybody out of the water who's shreddin these days, check him out if you haven't heard already, respect to Frenando for his technical skills but Guthrie has all of the shred of this guy plus buckets of musicality and melodic phrasing to all of his playing which i found this to lack

I definitely can see this guy has talent and can play some mean guitar. But honestly i'm realllly disappointed in all the guitarists out there today who are so enamored by speed. People, this dude can play fast as shit. Great. That's all. He has very little taste. There's a guy in my jazz band who tries to do this same thing over standards. I'm not saying all i listen to is jazz, but when you're not listening to the song, and just try to show you're muscle, it's really damn annoying to listen to

@OntologicalQuandary dude, sure hes extremely good with the guitar, but you cant say anything bad about davidmeshow because he has MULTIPLE AMAZING videos and he isnt just talented with the guitar, hes also talented with MANY other instruments... you gotta learn to look at the whole picture before you comment whats in your head... i suggest you look at davidmeshow´s other videos and process them before commenting back... and i suggest the same to those who actually hit the thumbs up...
