If a captain is beating a champion in damage due to traits, then that means the captain is traited for DPS and nothing else. That means his utility as an offhealer and offtank are gone and he is a bad captain.

he is a little bit like a paladin, a beginner class is the hunter and the champion but you wont find fast a group at 60. There isnt the best class all are good

i'm just sick of all that kiddies that insult my fav class, so i changed to lotro and looked for a support class as the paladin is, and i found it

it depends on your style. Hunt would be good if you like to play solo and captain if you love to group with people. The capatain is designed to be selfless and does what ever he can to help/save his group. Go onto Vilya if/when you join.

Thankfully, Spars don't determine which class is more superior then the other. Try sparing a LM, you'll fail hard.

Only class I haven't been able to defeat is another burglar. Never won, never lost, always run out the timer XD.

Depends mate.

Champs are dual-wield damage-dealing monsters; Captains usually stick with 2-handed weapons and use buffs/heals/etc.

the pvp is optional there's the sparring and pvp in the ettenmoores. Sparring is just for fun but the pvp in ettenmoores is really a competition. No reason to quit great game

captains are melee supporter who also inspire other people to greater acts of heroism (i.e. buffs) and in my limited experience that have pretty good dps and can wear heavy armor later on. (please correct me if i'm wrong)

Captains are awesome, it was my favorite class except for the stupid pets. Did you know captains used to place a banner down in alpha/beta? They replaced it with a stupid herald instead. :(
