You dont use a straightener just to straighten you know. you can use them to volumise, curl, crimp, style, etc

Plus she was straightening it for review/tutorial purposes.

if you are straitening your hair you should blow dry it with cold air first or let it air dry. and going really slow like the way u are kills your hair faster. and you should always straiten your hair with a brush. as your straitening it brush as soon as the heat passes through and go over it again it makes your hair way smoother. and doing layers is a better way for ur hair to come out strait faster. and another tip. never wash your hair everydayyy. wash it every other day.

@yimkid Specially designed flat irons allow you to straighten damp hair, but the hair has to be 85-90% dry. And those irons wont kill your hair if you use a heat protector. ALL heat tools including your hair dryer will kill your hair if not used properly...so always use a product that protects your hair from heat. (PS....I am a hairstylist so trust me on this one!) Hope that helps :)

my hair is maturally curly && my chi workds really well! you can straighten it and then curl it but you're running the risk of you curls not lasting too long. it just depends. because sometimes when i straighten my hair and curl it, the curls will hold & sometimes they dont. but i really recommend it:) i love it! it leaves my curly hair silky smooth.
