How convenient to omit that Chavez made an illegal military coup attempt to overthrow the democracy.

The coup against him was a convergence of multiple sectors of the Venezuelan society, not just the Elite, when everyone realized with alarm that the guy has mental issues. He started to violate the constitution and took over the rest of independent powers.

I sympathize with other left leaders in LA but Chavez is the scum of this earth. Right now he is cracking down on other political parties.
