For all the people out there I've noticed that people use the best services in improving your computers performance and never getting the best result. If this is you, then your probably like me. By this I mean that youve gotta a pooload of files in your computer that you never use, or never even knew existed and the computer cleaning programs like "Cc cleaner ltd", "Advanced System Care 4 ltd" e.t.c wont delete because they think it's important stuff but they're not. Maybe u dont get better FPS , but this somewhat does help your computer if u got vista/ Windows 7. In those 2 new versions. So many thigns got added in for it to look better, that if u customize it for "Best performance" It will give u the basic look but doesnt take up as much space.

Increase FPS

Windows Vista

1. Right-click desktop, click personalize.

2. Click display settings.

3. Now drag the bar underneath the word "Resolution" from the right to all the way to the left. Then click yes. Your screen will now look zoomed in but that's ok. You can change it back, just go back to display settings and drag to right then click yes.Remember the number that was lowest. Probably something like 800x600. I can’t find any support to back this claim but I thought FPS only mattered when you were running the server and not the client that connects to the server? Any rate you can download srcdsfpsboost.exe it’s for half life 2 servers but it increases FPS to 300 it is not necessary to adjust your windows appearance give it a shot it runs in a batch script and is easy to turn on and off

Dont do this.. your desktop is gonna just look shitty.. and games don't need that much RAM anyway, even 3GB is more than you need to run any game. And what i do is i just restart the computer before playing games like Bad Company 2. ( Restarting will empty the RAM from all the shit that in there while you have used your comp for hours or so )
