Nearly everyone is fascinated by the existence of numbers. Having a KDR measure and the other wide range of statistics in UC3 act as an excellent motivation for most people to get better or preserve on. Unfortunately this can go out of hand though. So it's kinda of a double-edge sword both ways. Good video.

The game is centered around teamwork and the ability to play with your friends. Playing in a party does not mean those players are bad/scared to play by themselves.
yh I totally agree, back in uc2 having a high kd was probably more special given that you didn't have over a thousand other players with kd's over 3,4 and 5. Its no big deal in this game since everyones just set on keeping those numbers up.
