  • All geniuses are first considered crazy.

  • What they (media) are going to pull now? '

Spreading stupid jokes and rumors... ???? They already tried to label us crazy. Yeah -for wanting to choose OUR candidate for president, not theirs!

  • I think they are trying to say, "Ron Paul is the man" :D

    Ron Paul 2012

  • Media+Politics=Tyranny!

  • we really need to reach out to republicans and liberals with tact. Be sure to conduct yourselves with the utmost dignity. Sluff off personal attacks, and return love. Love will win the day and the hearts and minds of the people.

  • @ParapaDrifter sometimes it is not easy when you realize that this man puts his life in danger and wants to do something to save this country and all you see are half brains...

    but you are definitely right!

  • I love how they try to pretend that they took it down because they thought something was wrong with it. Lies! Just another example of media trying to play down the ONLY person in congress with a spotless voting record and REAL values for our country. Ron Paul 2012!!

  • The unwritten rules... you have an R after your name... you vote with all other "R"s.

If you don't play by the "rules" (the establishment's rules) you get left off to the side...and they call you names and try to be-little you. That is what he was saying.

  • Feel the wrath of Ron Paul supporters!

  • Ron Paul said ok but to what

    watch?v=4Z9WVZddH9w&feature=feedlik

  • Ron Paul in 2012.....Finally, a man who can tell the truth!

  • MSM will not support Ron Paul. Pass the message.

  • I just came across your video - great job!!!

  • If Ron Paul doesn't get the nomination, I will write in his name on the ballot.

  • Ron Paul is the only politician that is not corrupt. He fights for the peoples Constitution. Government "IS" the problem not the the fix. The others consider us a special interest group. When our Constitution becomes a special interest document the USA will become a lost nation. YOU GO RON !!!!!!!

  • RON PAUL IS "THE ONLY" POLITICIAN THAT FIGHTS FOR THE PEOPLE AND NOT THE CORPORATIONS.

  • What happened to the money that was paid back from Bush's Bailout? We have been told that 80%+ has been paid back. So, the debt should have went away,,, RIGHT? Do you think this was all just a sham. They must be getting the money back anbd just spending it. But for what? I have sent emails to every network with not one single reply!!!!!!!

  • mises, hayek, paul

  • lol "he doesn't play by the rules" uh- ron paul as far as i can tell does play by the rules- the CONSTITUTIONAL RULES! ever heard of that word? the constitution? these phony media bastards are just a bunch of snobs

  • I am a Ron-Paul-Aholic!

  • GO RON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • was this guy seriously expecting chris dodd and joe biden to have any enthusiastic supporters? lol

  • "republicans thought he was crasy.." buuut, then he continues to cover his ass while pretending to be unbiased. the media's coverage of him was appauling start to finish for the last election!

  • Dennis Kucinich, Matt GOnzalez or Ron Paul for 2012. Our country got hijacked since afther JF Kennedy. After JFk our beautiful country when to shit. It is so bad that all these clowns who voted for Obama. We need to snap out of it and not vote for the Democrats and Republican the USA version of the PRI. PRI is the party that ruled Mexico for 71 years and didn't do a damn thing for the country. Lets start supporting other parties that are here for us the PEOPLE and by the PEOPLE.

  • I'm a Ron Paul Republican!

  • Comment removed

  • I disagree with a lot of Ron Paul's domestic policies, but agree with him 100% on his anti-colonial foreign policy. Even though I have my disagreements though, it is remarkable to see an honest politician, which makes him one of the rare cases where I respect and try to understand his views even when I don't agree.

  • sure beats being an obamaholic.

  • Ron Paul is Too Right for my views, but I like and TRUST him.He and Dennis Kurcinch are true Statesmen in that they Respect each others views and Value each Other's Opinion. These Men show that with Respect and Honesty you can put aside your differences and work on what you Agree. IMO either would make a Great President. Both are USA firsters unlike most of the Rest of the AIPAC Owned WH and Congress.

  • its funny how that guy suggests and admits that the "polls" are manipulated intentionally

  • why did they say he doesn't follow the rules when he is the ONLY one who actually does?!?!

  • @reh2185 I think they meant he won't follow the New World Order agenda like all these neocon "fake" conservatives. Those fake's unspoken rules are DO NOT OPPOSE OPEN BORDERS,AMNESTY AND THE NEW WORLD ORDER. It's such a transparent desparate attempt to discredit a man a brilliant as Ron Paul who is the ONLY politician willing to impliment the will of the American citizens! Ron Paul in 2012!!!!

  • @reh2185 he means Ron Paul doesn't follow the rules of corrupt politics

  • @reh2185 ~ He was talking about the crooked rules that he would have to sacrifice his integrity for. In other words Ron Paul hasn't sold his soul to the highest bidder like most (all?) other politicians have.

  • @4sylum1nmate

True - Obama's campaign coffers are the largest in human history, with tens of millions of dollars from lobbyists flowing in.

very ominous - Bush's campaign was identical

  • @reh2185

He's talking about the jewish rules.

  • I'm not sure if many could go to college without student loans, with the system being how it is. Don't be confused, I do support Ron Paul above any other politicians.

  • evil falls when good men and woman stand up,AND STOP IT.STAND UP!!! DON'T SIT IN FRONT OF THE TV AND LET SHIT HAPPEN-DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.END THE FEDERAL RESERVE FOR STARTERS.

  • We love Ron Paul. He is hope for America!

  • I'm sorry buddy but Ron Paul dose play by the rules. It's the rest of congress that isn't playing by the rules.

  • Ron Paul will forever be my hero.

  • CNBC is a terrorist organisation!

  • Ron Paul is an economic hulk hogan

  • he is an economic god!

  • Dr. Paul threw down again today on CNBC, can't wait for the clip to be posted.

  • Next future - in the next future the people will wake up realizing that slaves of the federal reserve, making enemies after invading countries in the world....brings only death and slavery, not good things. RON PAUL 2012 !

  • Doesn't play by the rule?

    Check your fact!

  • josephle2k ,

Yes, it's true! he does not play by the rules of the crooks....the ones who are in power right now.

  • i hope nothing happens to ron paul like JFK

  • old news. tj

  • Ron Paul Rocks!

  • Ron Paul is not a sheep, he's an independent thinker. Most, if not all, other congressmen follow the flocks, either going the way of the Democrats or the way of the GOP.

  • too bad ron paul got messed with and the media just ignores the response. this is propaganda to discredit the fact that he was marginalized by private censorship. 2012!!!!! start the grassroots action now!

  • doesnt play by the rules? he follows the constitution they dont play by the rules.

  • Scarborough say the Republicans shun him. Darkness can't stand the light. Good, unvenal sense makes the other Republicans nervous.

  • Harwood=suck-up!

  • Ron Paul or equivalent for 2012

  • LOL, best comment ever!

  • @EdMan2012 there is no equivalent. the rest of them are on the take. look at the voting records and what's his face worked for the FED! anyone with a sane mind would vote for ron paul.

  • @EdMan2012 There is NO equivalent.

  • @EdMan2012 there is no equivalent!

Alll our other politicians are bought by corporations. That's what he mean saying that RP doesn't play by the rules--the rules say politicians are to be bought!

  • @EdMan2012 there is no equivalent .... name one?

  • @saadk3000

    Gary Johnson

  • @EdMan2012 I like him and a lot of his policies but please .....

  • how did he not win anything? dont americans want freedom? and the Federal government out of their lives? damn

  • No they dont, Americans just want to enjoy their liberties w/out caring how or where they come from.

The problem is Americans dont even understand what the founders intended our lives to be like. They dont see how many rights we have lost. Granted the USA is still the best place to live, but not for long. We need a charasmatic young gun with Constitutional thinking for the sheep to fall in love with, like they were suckered by Obama. Then the USA could be what it's supposed to be.

  • oh now thay do want it and now thay now why we need to kick off the federal resvers kick off are sholders now...

  • Kind of makes me want to stop everything I'm doing, research him even more thoroughly then I have and just go from door to door... In 4 years I could touch a lot of people.. I'm so confident that with the large amount of people I'd encounter there would be no way for him to even be cheated out of any election by any means; electronic or paper

  • ron paul 2012

  • i love ron paul 4 ever i hate the media who distorts him

  • I would have voted for him if he got he primaries. I never expected someone with his ideas to ever win over the mass media. Buncha bullshit. Corporate welfare queens oligarchs and theocrats control the party.

  • Ron Paul is the best!

I can't believe he's not running for president.

    In Mises We Trust!

  • He wasn't able to run. Lost the primaries :[

Probably by fradulent causes... I know here in Nevada, his voters weren't able to vote.

The rally was closed down by police for being too 'riotous'.

  • Ron Paul would've done a cake walk into the White House if it weren't for the abortion issue. On that issue, he lost his followers on the left as well as most true libertarians.

  • he left it up to the states. his supporters accepted that.

  • Sorry, dude. RP lost the left and true libertarians with his abortion views. Hard to blame an ob/gyn doc like himself. But abortion is SO DIVISIVE, it obviously should be none of the government's business. And you can't hand the issue over to the states. The Constitution is the SUPREME law of the land. A state cannot, for instance, violate the bill of rights. Abortion is a privacy issue. Thus it falls under the protection of the Bill of Rights, as the high court decided with Roe v Wade.

  • huh? he didn't lose his libertarians. libertarians were falling head over heels for the man.

he made it clear that he would leave it up to the states, which is closer to libertarian ideals than any of the candidates and what is expected by the constitution (if only we had a country founded upon a hybrid between the constitution and the articles of confederation- sigh).

he lost his libertarian followers, give me a break.

  • true. He didn't lose many, if any, libertarians, although his views on abortion were not easy for true libertarians to defend. But you simply cannot leave the right to privacy up to the states. That's ridiculous. To allow the states to determine which rights its women are allowed to enjoy is a preposterous idea.

  • Libertarians do not believe that our RIGHTS as US citizens should be left up to the states. That would lead to nothing but fire hoses and dobermans. It was the states' ABUSE of civil rights that led to the HUGE expansion of Federal power. It was the rednecks own damn fault. But forget about the small slice of Libertarian America. The abortion issue cost RP the White House as huge masses of the mainstream left, right, and middle would've have supported him 100% if it weren't for that stupid issue

  • you've got it backwards, guy. ron paul didn't get many supporters because HE WAS NOT PROPPED UP BY THE MSM!

It is in fact as simple as that.

As for your civil rights argument which you took out of the blue, read this:

    volokh(dot)com/posts/1189652647(dot)shtml

  • My civil rights argument was taken from RP's opinions, not those of libertarians at large. He has stated clearly that he believes the regulation of abortion should be left to the states. And he's wrong. States rights do not trump individual rights. He lost his BIG lefty support right there.

The MSM? The beauty of the RP movement was that it happened with no help from the MSM at all - blackballed by the MSM from jump. RP had a YouTube ARMY campaign. But it would soon be seen as a pro-life cause.

  • I agree Ron Paul had a massive online grassroots advantage, but that compared to the MSM blackout? Please dude, it was nothing.Ofcourse,it did manage to get wakeupa lot of people, but the MSM black out of Ron Paul and bias towards the esablishment candidates propelled the neocon McCain and Obama to stardom. Ron Paul's abortion issue had nothing to do with it. His pro freedom and anti war charms were enough to hold onto his supporters.

And it is not a pro life cause, it is a pro liberty cause.

  • I attended a RP rally in DC this summer. It was DEFINITELY a gathering of pro-life people and speakers. RP had tremendous momentum in December. That "money-bomb" was incredible. But it never reached the critical mass breakthrough point because the lefty supporters wanted to know RP's views on abortion. They did not like what they heard. The establishment MSM reported on this immediately, along with presenting some forged "racist" writings from RP. By February, his momentum had fizzled.

  • ron paul kept his momentum through out january and february and only gained it later on in the race as you can see by his primary showings.

ron paul shares views with pro lifers, so what? don't use guilt by association on the movement.

the major reasons why ron paul did not pick up was because

    1) the msm ignored him and marginalized him

    2) ron paul did not want to win the presidency

  • his pro life views have nothing to do with his loss and only should have propelled him forward by gaining the religious right. but who gained that support? huckabee, thanks to the media bias.

  • RP could never gain the religious right by opposing the Iraq war. As Huckabee proclaimed during his debate with RP on Iraq, "to withdraw from Iraq is to lose our honor". That type of empty rhetoric resonates nicely with most of the religious right. RP sponsored legislation to define fetuses as human beings under the law. This cost him too many left leaning young voters, the exact people who had plastered the landscape across the country with RP posters.

  • The religious right never knew about Ron Paul, much like most of America, because of the MSM blackout, so they have not heard of his pro life stance. The religious right backed up Huckabee because they believed he was a model christian.

you can give the religious right more credit than that.

  • The religious right were watching all of these debates looking for a candidate to support. They knew damn well who RP was and could not bring their flock of sheep to accept RP's view of the war. The religious right has long been in lock step with most Bush policies. The day after this debate (check youtube video below) they flocked to Huckabee because he made the Iraq war sound honorable.

    watch?v=u9sA5FQfE1E

Of course, it didn't hurt that Huckabee was a Christian minister.

  • His internet popularity peaked with the money bomb in December and dwindled from there. No doubt the establishment media worked to smear or ignore RP whenever possible. But his success in 2007 was fueled by young voters many of whom who would eventually jump ship and join Obama - the second wave of grass roots Internet succes. Obama's internet contributions soared in an inverse ratio to RP's decline.

  • some of his supporters jumped ship because they see obama as the only alternate to mccain.

ron paul's supporters showed their strengths in the primaries, and they only grew in number in the later showings. as you can see with his 20 percent pollings.

his internet popularity took a hit when the msm started their full scale blackout and marginalization and mccain/obama grew because of increased media bias. that's it.

  • His entire left-wing contingent jumped ship to Obama because of what? Abortion. Don't forget, we're talking about internet campaigns here. The media blackout of RP started the day after his dust up with Giuliani. Here's the Youtube vid. Check the date on the video post.

    watch?v=AD7dnFDdwu0&feature=related

The day after this debate, the name Ron Paul was blacklisted everywhere. I found ZERO analysis on any news channel. That was May 2007.

  • his entire liberal support?can you back that up?watch my dvds4delegates videos and you will see how the msm bias affected his internet momentum.(also, they're very informative :P )but the video you showed me for maher, they're just a small audience that are probably sold on obomba and billary anyways.

  • but,if you ask the average joe about ron paul, you'd get these three replies most likely:1)whos that guy?never heard of him!

2)ron paul seems like a radical(b/c the msm says so)

3)id vote for him,but he doesnt have a chance of winning.

i really do hope you're not using bill maher as a test statistic.

  • The Bill Maher clip was just an illustration of the potential butterfly effect RP was poised to take advantage of. I knew the key to his success was creating a perfect storm merging of left/right voters. I also knew that if he fumbled on any major lefty issue, they were gone. And they went...

  • I was beating the drum hard for RP since 5/07. Had a group of lefty friends climbing on board checking him out. Most donated at least $50 to his campaign. Since I was the righty, they hit me with all their FAQ's. RP's view on abortion was always the last issue I discussed with any of them before they fell off the wagon. Malcolm Gladwell's "tipping point" would never be reached by RP without the left. The left was his butterfly effect secret weapon against such forces lined up against him. Gone.

  • I agree with most of what you're saying. But you're missing my point. I'll put it to you this way. It's about momentum. The pathogens cast by the MSM against RP's tremendous early momentum would have bounced right off him if he continued to carry the left through Super Tuesday, but they were already gone. Nov Money Bomb...big money. Dec Money Bomb...HUGE MONEY. Jan Money Bomb...fizzle. I don't think you spot trends well but I will check your vids. Which one applies to our discussion?

  • spotting the trends is just a matter of perspective in this situation.

i think it was obama's empty promises for peace and withdrawal from iraq and "change" that stole a chunk of ron paul's momentum. ron paul's momentum was fueled by the young people, mostly disaffected conservatives and libertarians. he still has a good amount of social liberals in his grassroots.

  • but how many socialists he had before and after his stance on abortion became clear (where he wanted to leave them up to the states) cant be based on maher alone haha. but im sure you have more evidence.

as for the video, you should check out the dvd4delegates clips. they show internet popularity trends between ron, mccain and obama before and after the msm blackout tactics and bias.

  • i know of some liberals myself who support ron paul and stick with him because they can get over the abortion issue. maybe it's because ive been able to convince them of the importance of his economic stances or i dont know. but i do not doubt your experience. but i dont think it's safe to say that ron paul lost all his socialist support.

  • Let me clarify. If I give the impression that I believe he lost ALL of his left support, what I mean is he lost enough of it to end his run. Like I said, many lefties I know still appreciate RP, but the lefties who stuck with him are the ones who understand the gravity of monetary policy.

  • Maher's show was just a snapshot of the left/right PARTY TIME that was going on when RP first hit the scene. True cross-the-aisle excitement. As Maher said at the end of that clip, "No Repub has ever gotten an ovation like that on this show". RP's exposed abortion views wasn't only the states thing, RP sponsored legislation to certify fetuses as humans. The left freaked out. Abortion's a deal killer. When watching the conventions, notice how abortion positions get loudest applause.

  • Went to ur site. Watched a couple, they are lengthy. I was mindblown to hear about the veteran spin code crap. Which of your videos shows this McCain Obama RP internet pop thing? I'm still fighting with you on this because the MSM blackout of RP started immediately in May 2007. Meanwhile, his popularity soared through December. Then the abortion thing came out and then what I consider the forged RP newsletters from the early 90's. His money bomb in Jan 08 sucked. Game over.

  • Here's a youtube video of RP back in May 2007 showing the lefties EATING OUT OF HIS HAND.

    watch?v=-GX-bPyPBlY&NR=1

This was of course, before they found out his views about what....?

  • "a nation of sheep will beget a government of wolves"

  • "In the beginning, a Patriot is a lonely man."

  • i miss those good old days of hope

  • that guy said everyone in the house thinks RP is "crazy"! wtf are you serious? or are the politicians so stupid that they can't see a genuine message of freedom right in front of them! RP will be hailed as a great not too far in the future.

  • Ron paul IS my president

  • Ron Paul could have saved us !:(

  • He still can! Write in Ron Paul!

  • i didnt really like joe for being particularly damning of jessica lynch when she dared to tell the world the truth.

but this video makes me think he may have some integrity left.

  • just wanted to say that I've never donated money to a candidate till I found Ron Paul. He's a true conservative unlike moderates like Bush, McCain, Clinton and Obama.

  • Me too. I donated, even though he won't win the Republican nomination. I don't care. I want his message to go as far as possible. I hope he runs as a libertarian.

  • ha. the only thing the chick can say is "ron paul-aholics"

  • RonPaul-aholics....that's a stupid term. Why not just say 'libertarians'?

  • The constitution is taking a beating! There is no excuse why we

can't have a few hundred thousand people sign this petition.

    petitiononline(dot)com/USRC01/petition(dot)html

    RON PAUL

    HOPE FOR AMERICA

    BE A PART OF IT

  • lol... faggot

  • i hope Ron Paul lives long long life becouse the fight has just beegun.there is many of us praying for you Ron Paul, dont give up

  • RP is right about almost everything. Sadly the things he's wrong about are so important that the things he's right about would be destructive because of them. His outlook on individual rights is great, but he applies this to business. This may be well-intentioned, but it'd be used to make corporations even more powerful. The problem all mainstream politicians fail to recognize is capitalism. Until we rid ourselves of money (not just the federal reserve) corporations will always run the show.

  • i think Joe and his counterparts should go to forced labour camps for lying on the news.

  • the useless mainstream media will have to eat their words!

  • I am a Ron Pauloholic, a freedomholic too.

  • Nice video, RP 2008. The Revolution is not dead yet!

  • It would have sounded better if you had stated The Revolution will never die!

  • Who is that woman???? She has an attitude huh.... rolling her eyes and calling RP supporters Paulaholics. Idiot

  • just another women that should be at home raising her kids instead there home with a illegall mexican made

  • would be great if people had the ron paul 2008 painted on the roofs of their barns. used to be great reading them. many years ago.

  • I'm with you Ron Paul!!

  • GOOOOOOOO Ron Paul!!

  • too bad the masses r not as informed as the net surfers,

  • Romney dropped out to stop a brokered convention. Damn neocon.

  • Yeah, I'd like to "bring him some cookies" with very special ingredients....him and every other of these self-satisfied media maggot pieces of dreck.

  • Doesn't play by the rules?????? WHAT?? I think it's all of the other elected representatives who don't play by the rules! Did the rules change on us somewhere? The constitution maybe!

  • precisely.....

  • Take America back!! Small Government! Individual Freedom! Vote RON PAUL 2008

  • I've seen the latest poll statistics and they're not comforting. Please vote for Ron Paul, whatever state you're in. Ron Paul needs every bit of support you can give him. If you were planning on burning your ballot, marking "none" for all of the candidates, or simply not voting, PLEASE take the time to first listen to Ron Paul's many speeches here on youtube and learn exactly what he stands for. Then go vote for Ron Paul in your state's primary election or caucus before it's too late.

  • Ron Paul has cured my apathy for this nation

  • ron pauls a nut

  • why is that? People love to say that but I never hear any substantiation?

  • he is certain that its americas fault that islamic jihadists are being jihadists because of us... if you listen to what he says, hes a douche.

  • Um, he's saying Islamic jihadists are able to rally support because of our crappy foreign policy. If we took away the incentive of subsidizing radicals (Musharif, Bin Lauden, Hussain all were supported by the US) then the recruiting incentive for the Radicals is removed. What else don't you agree with?

  • musharraf is a great man. saddam WAS a great man too, bin ladan was helping us destroy a country threaten a world with nukes, if we didnt use them, things would be worse off than they are now! im sorry that theyre douchebags, but were fixing it now. and it is theyre fault. they coulda just been good lil muslims, but nooooo, they gotta get theirselves bombed, lol

  • We installed musharraf and funded him, funded Saddam and provided weapons to Osama. We also have bases in Saudi Arabia and Qatar and are funding the Saudis and almost all of the Arab nations including Irael. Israel who is ethnically cleansing of Palestinians. All of this is a rallying cry for the Jihadists.

  • Are you INSANE? Pervez Musharaff is a power-drunk dictator. He's a tyrant who cares more about maintaining his position as ruler of Pakistan than he is about his own people and about the very country itself. If he was really a great man, then he would have relinquished power to Benazir Bhutto instead of having her assassinated like the pathetic coward he really is. Saddam was another despicable lowlife but we never should have invaded Iraq on false pretenses to remove him.

  • REVOLUTION Baby!

    Ron Paul 2008

  • Wow honest news, I'm shocked!

Ron Paul all the way 2008!

  • hahahahah seriously

  • See? neocon controlled media takes the poll down,,,then they exclude him from a republican party sponsored forum. (Which the NH Republcan Party was up in arms about!) There should be a law preventing the murdoch cocksuckers from imposing their will on our democracy.

  • "RONPAUL-a-holics? Okay...I'm drunk with the idea of FREEDOM! and uh! PEACE!

  • I make $47,000 per year. I am a single person. . I paid $8,230 in taxes last year. Single people, middle class single people, are taxed to pay for everything. That's ridiculous when we use less services than any other group in this country. Rock on Paul.

  • So, just shit on the poor then?

  • You use [fewer] services than any other group in this country? So, I take it you don't drive on our roads, walk on our sidewalks, send your kids to public schools, rely on grants and student loans for your educations as well as for the educations of your kids, feel safer in your country with a military than without one, reap the benefits of an emergency response system (911), or benefit from police, fire, and ambulence.

  • You're damn right we want the government out of our lives. He plays by the Constitution you IGNORANT butthole!

  • the news media is scewing the polls to show the masses are looking away from ron paul because they know that a single person tends to follow where the masses are going to place their votes, hopefully americans arent that stupid to listen to the propoganda! ron paul is a real life patriot and that scares big corporation and several government agencies!

  • Is that code below ROT13?

  • "He doesn't play by the rules"

    - What rules moron, the corrupt anti-american fuck-our-freedom rules?

    Idiot.

  • I think that was a compliment... Who really wants to play by Washington's rules? Most voters hate the idea of a candidate who goes into DC and plays by its "rules."

  • You're right. After watching the "entire" vid, I stand corrected.

  • I like the intellectual honestly. Thanks, bro.

  • Its hard to come by. Too many hide behind the insecure crutch of "pride."

  • luketrashtalker- no offense but do your homework before you open your mouth. Ron Paul has never said he would do away with student loans-he wants to give students more options and create more competition in the market which would actually lower interest rates, thus lowering the cost of student loans.

  • No offense kia1986, but read between the lines. He didn't need to SAY that he was going to get rid of student loans but the signs are there. He has reportedly not allowed his daughter to take out student loans and he wants to get rid of income taxes - one third of the money raised by the federal govt. comes from income tax. Cutting this means cutting at least one third of the spending budget. Do the math.

  • John Harwood: Media Whore & Corporate Huckster

    Career Over... (beep)

  • He didn't let his daughter take out student loans? Does this mean he's going to end student loans?! Millions of people DEPEND on student loans in order to attend college! Otherwise, how would most people afford to go to college? This sounds like elitism to me - keep the masses from getting any sort of education and preserve a vast resovoir of cheap and readily available labor. This bothers me a lot.

  • The argument is that colleges are happily raising tuition prices because they know the government will foot the bill in the form of student loans and grants. The idea is that with free market competition will come lower costs for education when the schools realize all that free money from the government has dried up.

  • I agree Ace, something has to give; as things are, students leave college with so much debt they'll be making payments for decades. I'd like to see a day when university study was free to all who are interested and qualified, maybe through grants or charity.

  • As a college student I can verify this.
