Bioshock was an amazing game period. Everything from the story, the Enviroment, the characters oozed awsomeness, being able to see a film based on the game would let other people who never played the Bioshock experience and enjoy the story, art, the phycological thrill of which was the game. I can only hope that a good director picks this up and keeps the film true to its came counterpart.

Games based on movies rarely do well. To do it in a way to satisfy people they'll have to do a two parter, first part focusing on Ryan then the second with Atlas/Fontain so a lot won't be left out in crunching the game into an hour + time frame. Or go about it with a Silent Hill approach. Nice teaser by the way.

@supersinthehedgehog I wouldn't count on it. Games to Film don't exactly have the greatest track record. Look at Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat 1 & 2, DOOM, Alone in the Dark, Silent Hill and the Resident Evils. They're okay movies, but they're not really great, nor are they blockbuster-worthy.

1. The water at the beginning is completely off of a game engine. Thus shot from a game or script.

2. The text scene about making rapture was pretty bad. Something anyone could do on their own computer in a few minutes.

3. They just refuse to show ANYTHING. I've seen teasers not show that much, but this was horrible.

4. The "coming 2012" banner has been made over the internet a lot. I've seen some like it.

5. They already stated in person, BioShock would just cost too much money.
