have used hugo on cows in 07 so have 150 heifer calves bye him , they look good will be serving them in jan so bye this time next year will have them calving .A nother good british Friesian is T I H dam stedy cow .
What a feeling when it does happen. it wont happen again as we have stopped millking sad when you have to do that but for thos who are still going good luck and keep up the good work. still miss it and millking for somebody else is not the same.
I love cows but i am fed up slaving 7 days a week for a pittance while supermarkets get rich ! for example they are buying cheese for £2500 per ton and selling it for £11.000 per ton ! Same for liquid milk
A well known milk processor is making so much cash he is now a tax exile in Florida !
The break even price is 27 ppl I am getting a lot less than that !!
it happened to me years ago i forgot to take the pipe out when i put the units on to wash it never hapened again though snoty arss milk man stood there giggling like a girl till the bulk tank was empty i felt like putting the dog on him the arsse
about 3 weeks after i started my dairy farm, i had this cow under penicillin, so i would milk her last and put the contaminated milk in a container (about 15 liters), so i left it there to figure out what i ll do with it, that same morning, this guy from the company (MAJOR ONE) that buys the milk from me , came over and asked me why was the milk in that bucket ? when i told him it had antibiotics , he just dumped it in the tank, told me i was wasting the company s money ... go figure ...
Hard lines, a friends relief milker cost him a full tank, 6000 litres. They didnt fail penicillin, he just forgot to put the tank cooler on after it had been washed, and obviously didnt check the tank temp! Worst part was, they had just switched from the tanker lifting everyday to lifting every 2 days. Hows the weather up in Ayrshire?
He is still doing releif work for them, needless to say he has never done that again heh. Yeah its frosty down this way also, all the water was frozen up in the parlour this morning, was about -5 / -6. Got some slurry out this morning before the fields got soft again.
That bites! I'd like to say that I highly respect farmers for their hard work. Especially those that try to do their best to have a good solid product. Thanks!
I had to do that once, the boss kicked me that hard in the arsh i couldn't sit for a week

Been a few years since we did that. I'd like to keep it that way. It's a bummer. Looks like you had a little too much fun with it.
Ever heard of Excede? We started using it a while back and have had good luck with it. No withdrawl time if you follow the label.
Nice videos!
