@lovemybeau yes, that is where it is being injected. Its a caudal cortizone injection into the epidural (hollow area) area of the spine. Its not as painful as it may look either. I'm not one for pain either and have been awake for all of my injections in that area as well as in the cervical area of the neck. They give you a local anesthetic which helps otherwise I'm sure it would be a real pain in the arse, pun intended :)
This looks like he is putting the needle right at the tail of the spine in the buttock area, ouch.
