This video is absolute untruth. Yes, we have learned more and more about Palin's record (and her 2006 veto) since this was recorded. But LCR had enough information from day one to know that her record is not an "inclusive" one. They chose to ignore it in favor of partisan politics.

subm2m I think you would be insane to vote for a party/ticket who thinks you are an abomination of nature, a desease, a 10th class citizen and NOT protected under any discriminatory law. If you like to be treated and let others fellows gay and lesbians be treated like shit, then you vote republican. If you want to have a hope of making things better for them, then vote democrat. I have no misinformed as you assume out of nowhere since my posting mention anything about gay marriage. I am well informed about the democrat ticket not supporting gay marriage. I am talking about the Republican Party based on their "manifesto" given out during the republican convention. Have you read it? If you did you might have noticed that sexual orientation or gender identity is NOT included in any of their statements about hate crime, discrimination and so on. THAT is a shame for a party!

Hey, Im fully wit you bud. I would advice you to start your presentation doing a pararelism with the balck civil rights movement and also interracial marriage (Loving v. Virginia, 1967) and both rulings of the Supreme Court in those cases. Also you could talk about the differences between marriage and civil unions, how the CA Supreme court ruled based on those differences, and also many other studies showing c. unions create a sense of second class citizenship. Palin vetoed the bill not because she thought it was "the right thing" to do, but because she was advised by the Alaska Dept. of Law that the bill was unconstitutional. She has never offered support for domestic partner benefits, and is strongly opposed to same-sex marriage. The idea that Palin is somehow a moderate on same sex issues is foolish wishful thinking. And why any self-respecting gay person would want to be a Republican these days?! Independent or Dem makes much more sense.
