  • Thank you for the video! It was great! I have a couple questions please...

Did you not use the lower half of the downpipe, and what was the exact issue?

  • @HondaTypeRk20 was not bent at the exact angle to fit, just decided to use 3.5 inch flex to the upper half to make it easy. Niw had about 5k miles on it and still holding together

  • @DarlingtonFarm Oh okay. Thank you for the info sir!

  • Is there a silencer ring on the turbo of a 7.3l powerstroke?

  • @DodgeCumminsMan56 don't think so

  • gotta love them sawsaw blades

  • Did u notice a power improvment.?

  • cool truck i also have a 96 f 350 powerstroke i persnoly think u should install a intercooler before u do the 10k mod i had the mod on my truck before i got a intercooler installed and the egt's were really high especially while towing.after i installed the intercooler it ran great and egt's were perfect...just my opinion to give to a fellow powerstroke owner..

  • @obs96powerstroke Thanks, what type of intercooler are you running? had seen some that used one of a 99.

    Thanks

  • @DarlingtonFarm im running a spearco intercooler..works great

  • I love ford trucks. Would love to have a nice f250 but all I have is a ranger for now. Maybe this is a stupid question but I know nothing about Diesel engines. I have always seen the turbo on the intake not actually hooking into the exhaust. I was kind of confused on that part?

  • @euvi85 The turbo takes waste heat energy from the exhaust via a turbine wheel and uses it to spin a compressor wheel on the intake side.

  • @DarlingtonFarm Awesome thanks for the reply. I like your videos. I am pretty sure I have seen your truck around town I think it has a black stack on it. Some of the wood designs you sell are neat too. You should do a giant ford logo carved out.

  • @euvi85 Yep that is me, well was the chrome stack that was back ordered is on the truck now. I try to stay away from copyrighted logos.

    Thanks

  • What kind of air intake do you have?

  • @militarytrombone Has a K&N air box, Have been thinking about doing the 10K mod when i get a chance.

    Thanks

  • @DarlingtonFarm Do you think it would be worth the time and money to replace the downpipe only, or do I need to replace the entire exhaust system?

  • @militarytrombone If it were me I would just replace the entire exhaust. Going from the stock dp and exhaust made a difference of about 4 mpg and the turbo spools up a lot faster now, more like a 6.0 Powerstroke. Now I am getting in the mid 20s depending on what I am doing.

  • @DarlingtonFarm i also get in the 20 on the highway with my early 99. people dont believe me. mine is straight piped, and a diy intake. i have yet to get a larger downpipe.

  • @ComicalFerret I really like the bigger down pipe, was straight piped before but with the new down pipe the turbo spools up a lot faster. Much more responsive at on ramps and such.

    Thanks

  • @DarlingtonFarm I understand what you mean, but I am still worried that my truck will not pass inspection in my town without the muffler and cat on it. I also don't want to buy a complete aftermarket exhaust system.

  • @militarytrombone I am lucky here they dint smog cars

  • Needs a propane tank with a spark plug for flame throwin' out the top....

  • @RandallFlaggNY That would look cool but more effort than I care to put into it.

  • That was great!!! :-)
