I would check every thing in that room with checks and just normal. Then Head to the oppisite door of which I came from then do a couple of checks. Then go back to check other places and then, based on that, do certain actions.
I would check to see what is in the well? Does it hold some type of clue or secret in its depths? Perhaps I should go back to the statueroom and quickly duck behind the knight statue in hopes that another frost blast from the dragon bounces off the shield to extinquish the flames. I wonder if the now empty bowl in the throne room may perhaps be the answer to the concave depression of the statue in the armory.
I'm loving this a lot. I'm new to D&D and find Dm'ing something I might enjoy doing. I wish there were more accounts that do this like yours. Thank you!
Please reply to this PLEASE!!! im not begging but what graph paper do you use? 1 inched graph paper? me and my friends want to play d&d with maps this time and we keep on finding not that good maps on the internet. Sorry that i have terrible English. im a foreigner. Im still learning. Anyways do you use 1 inch graph paper? im just wondering.
Being in the middle of a cemitary with a stone statue that attacked me, I would still be on my guard for any kind of undead thing that would pop out of nowhere to attack me.
I would inspect the cemetery, and try to find the iden that goes on the statues hand in the armory (or anything else that's useful) if nothing turns up then try the well room.
Seems like I've run into some of this castle's defenses. And since there are guardians here, there is something important that they're protecting. The statue was particularly defending this mausoleum... hmmm...
I'm no grave robber... but if I find anything useful around, I'm afraid I'll have to put it to use. I guess that whoever is buried here would want to help Zdravno.
I'd check the sepulchre before heading to the well room, it would take less time. But the well room seems to be key, possibly opening up a whole floor. Need to find those keys..
After all that business, if my assumptions are seeming correct, I would back track to the well room and go down the stair case. It seems there are a lot of puzzles and these puzzles can only be figured out by thoroughly exploring! :)
The far off door seems to be where we need to be headed, but I would like to look around a bit first. Examine all of the graves, some looking rather...freshly made, and the mausoleum, cutting down the vines if necessary to see what's written on the walls. I would then probably make my way to the tree and examine it for signs of stress or some indicator that Zdravno was actually going where I think he was going. He wouldn't call me to his castle and not leave any more clues would he?
I would examine the Mouseleum throughly, then examine the Raven statue (Im guessing it's just a Raven Queen icon for protection of becoming undead or something) then I wanna check out that grave with the teeth that seems...very odd to me.
wow this mage has a lot of unnessecary(sp) stuff in his house, a graveyard, really? how do people know to go here to bury their dead

I like the combat the way you did it in the Island of the Horns better than rolling and editing it out, just saying :P

go to the gnarled and dead tree and knock around it for a bit, then go to the far south of the map and enter the doorway

@william88275 If you can't find big paper, you can always tape together A4 sheets with 1 inch grids printed on them. It worked fine for me.

@william88275 Yes, I use 1 inch graph paper on large sheets.

Explore mausoluem, beware for zombies from graves, look out for more alive plants, look for texts in graves, look for secret doors.

Go back to the armoury and take the hand that is holding the hammer and put it on the second hand of the statue.
