so this is who ive been speaking with obviously we are never going to agree, i am a non religious person who does not believe in organised religion,though i respect anyone who does,and good for you i have actually been planning on reading the entire bible recently just for info..i like history so it will let me see different perspectives,i do believe though in a higher power who must havebeen involved w our existence but like you said i have had too much stress misery and pain, so its hard.

It is based on the truth that Jesus paid for yours and my sin. In times like you are experiencing is the very best time to walk by faith rather than sight. You can't see what the next day holds whether darkness and sorrow or joy and gladness but you can know this:

For He Himself has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you.

You are right, God does not need me, but He loves me anyways. I certainly do need Him though.Your right also that I have been lied to. Here is the lie "you're not a sinner - you're a good person" Read this verse:If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
