hi, i have to find a zone defense, which my youth team (aged 16-19) can learn and play.
they are used to a 2-1-2 and a little to 3-2.
The 2-1-2 they can play really well but it's week against shoots, cuts and drives from the corners. Since they often let the man in the corner alone. Our 2 Centers will have to go out to the corners, which leaves to too much room inside the pain.
I am thinking of a 2-3 zone.
you look like you understand zone defenses, can you give me your opinion on my question?
are they using Jim Boheim's Syracuse 2-3 Zone? Makes sense given Melo's experience
