I watch this show every day at Noon on Tv Land Then Bonanza and Most of all Thanks Jim for your gift to me and everyone who still watches it I would be Lost without my 2 fav shows GunSmoke & Bonanza
The real origin of Gunsmoke is that it was propaganda put out by the elite to justify government. Many times Matt Dillion will say "I didn't kill him, the law did." and this will be just minutes after we see him pull the trigger on his gun and shoot the person. This guy was in total denial using "the law" to justify himself being nothing more than a paid serial killer sent to enforce the status quo.
@mustaffa1611 Boy are you out to lunch! The character Matt Dillon, never shot anyone unless the other person was shooting at him. You have been believing to much propaganda so that you can't even see what's happening. You don't sound like a Communist, what political philosophy to you ascribe to? Are you a Libertarian? I believe in small government but you have to have some kind of government to protect the weak from Crooks that are stronger.
@mustaffa1611 You really should give up smoking...you know, those roll your own little dream sticks. It is plain to see the negative affect it has had on your reasoning. A western show to "justify government!" Man you are conpletely gone.
While driving, I heard the news of Mr Arness' passing. I had to pull over and stop. Another one of our Legends has gone on. Longest running drama on television. I still enjoy the show on the Western channel. Marshal Dillion wasn t a singing cowboy. Loved him more for that. He was a man' s man. He loved the people around him. Never had a hard thing to say about them. As we get older, we lose our heros. Sad but true. Thank you for the memories and fun that you gave to me.
Rest in peace Marshall Dillon.....so glad you were part of my early life....good show about good guys....................and of course Miss Killy too......
A real man. Like Eastwood, Bronson, and Heston. I hear he's a big man 6foot7 from what I've been told. I also hear he was wounded in the leg in Korea. That gave him his signature Matt Dillon walk.
Not only a real man and fantastic actor, but a war hero no less. I notice in the related videos some titles like "last moments before James Arness death", well he's very much alive so I wouldn't bother with those links!
