Past week I tried the fireball 60 watts during a rehearshall, but I actually think it has too much gain for me. I had turned the gain up to 2 o' clock and already sounded like hell on earth xD

my noisegate doesn't bang that loud...but i don't turn it up all the way. It's always at 9-11 o'clock...never higher

yeah i know its a ENGL amp i was just telling you dethklok uses Krank amps. Just thought on some distortion and tune your guitar to C bam! dethklok tone. It also depends on your guitar. Dethklock is using a gibson with EMG 81/85 pickups. What kind of setup do you have now?

I have a Jackson RR24, no good amp(s), boss ME-50, hope to get an amp that can do Dethklok lead tones and nice rhythm tones but I also want it to have nice clean tones and for it to be versatile... (nothing over 4100.00 CAD for a half-stack)

i realy wanna buy this amp .. but ppl keep saying that the EQ is the same for the distortion and the clean channel and its supost to be a bad thing? whats EQ mean?

There's only one EQ, but 2 different gain potis.

EQ stands for equalisation or equaliser, basically it means like Bass Mid and Treble etc, so like if you change the treble on this amp it will change it on both channels, whereas some amps have different bass middle and treble knobs for both clean and distortion etc

I used an app called Gold Wave. I really mixed it like a total beginner, every pro would have laughed at me, but it worked at least :P

Maybe you should lower the gate threshold slightly? Or maybe you have a broken noise gate, because in the review by MusikSchmidt, there is nothing wrong with the sound. They even praise ENGL for the built-in Gate.

Yes I had to go for a very hight threshold level.

The difference between the Musik Schmidt video and mine is the pickups. I think the guy from Musik Schmidt used some Fender passive humbuckers. Mine is the active EMG 81 and with this high-gain level you get hell of a feedback.

You could get an ISP noise gate, though, these are expensive

ok, das noise gate cuttet wirklich scheiße... da hilft nur ein ordentliches noise gate in den fx loop, oder vor dem amp, oder sogar beides zusammen...
