@JochenLueg Well I do, such processes are fascinating. Are the majority of them white or is it just a trait of this particular herd? Does anybody complain about them (pastoralists, environmentalists, etc.)?

Most of them are white but there is a mixture of all colours and patterns. Some of the older males have huge horns - a meter long. I have counted up to fifty animals.

On my webpage I run a little newspaper - the Roe Valley News Browser - and I report about the goats occasionally. Response from the locals is generally friendly - even the local newspapers have picked up the story., It is said that the forestry commission sends in hunters to cull the herd.

@JochenLueg Ich werd mir die Seite ansehen. Irgendwie hatte ich die Vermutung dass du deutsch sprichst von Anfang an (dein Name halt). :D

Das mit den Jägern klingt vertraut, sowas passiert oft bei solchen "Schädlingen" (auch wenn es keinen objektiven Grund gibt).

Unter uns liegt ein Naturschutzgebiet und ab und zu klettern die Tiere da hinein. Sie scheinen nicht viel Schaden zu verursachen.
