Yah, I got one of these a few years ago. It has such a big crungh for such a small amplifier. It's great for playing pinch harmonics or playing stuff like Metallica. I love playing Enter Sandman with this. And It's real cheap.
This amp is sick. I love it love it love it. It's small, got cool effects, and loud. Sounds clean and the ability to take quality sounds wherever you go on 6 bAtteries is phenominal. I play roughly 3 hours or more a day and for a week now I've been around my house, not even plugged in. Battery life is awesome and looong. This thing is sweet.
Ya know.....The Older I get, the more I enjoy seeing and listening to players my own age or older.....Why even bother commenting on someone's age. Especially if they can play their instrument and are entertaining to boot. Great Playing Cimberly. Kick Ass.
This amp is absolutely AWESOME for the size and the price. It sounds great and perfect for practice - added bonus: it takes AA batteries and has holes for a guitar strap, so you can wear it with your guitar :p
In the summer I take mine to BBQs and plug iPods in to the AUX input also - will last all day on 6 batteries.
yea, I actually have one of these amps at home, but When you play to loud in acoustic, It Sounds Horrible when you pluck the strings hard, Unless your gonna do some quiet plucking but with a loud setting volume, than your good
It Is Deffinatley 2 watts but it is a loud 2 watts. You aint gonna gig with it but for at home it is perfect, you can get any sound out of it as this guy demonstrates really well.
Darn right this guy can play. He plays style on guitar when music was MUSIC. This generation just don't any soul or emotion. Guitar today doesn't move me like it used to.
omg how i'm just pissed off such comments! "yesterday, everything was better blah blah blah" come on, do you ever heard some real modern guitar music? i don't speak about the charts. listen to "see the sun" from the kooks. is it without emotion? listen to almost everything from rhcp, like "don't forget me" for example. they don't have soul? "local boy" from the rifles. is that a tune without passion?
I would definitely recommend the line 6, because it has more features. Both amps are pretty durable, but I have owned both..so I would recommend the line 6.
spider was my first amp about 7 years ago, it's a great amp plus it's a good price. after you have been playing for a while you will begin to notice that the amp sound....digital or fake or thin somthing like that. Basically I joined a band (had a 30 watt) and my friends 20 watt fender sounded so much better tonally and I switched...then had to buy a bunch of foot pedals. but for learning I say go for it.
Hey, does anyone preamp these through a larger amp just to pump up the sound? This is a better demo than the Roland dudes do. Moving to an apartment where I don't want to drive the neighbors nuts, this kicks ass, but now with the new RX models coming out.....dayum....at least I am set when it comes to the amps.
yes i think its amazingly fun/good. the amp settings and effects are actually quite good just being off of an amp and i love messing with them. and he skipped some of the amp models that he won't use all of them are: acoustic, jc clean, black panel, brit combo, classic stack, metal, and R-Fier (a crazy hi-gain setting). and they're all fun to play with. mine also has rythm tracks for many styles of music which are fun to solo over
very nice. i need to get lessons from a real guitarist like you. the metal stuff of my generation doesnt hold a candle to what your generation had in rock.
nice demo, I bought one of these last year at guiar show in birmingham England. The guitar stand we were on had these to demo there guitars, guitars were crap but the micro cube was awesome. I used to have a rack and a 4x12 but now just play at home and the cube does the business!
Hey that is a cool demo. I have this amp also and I agree it is awsome, I love the fact that you look like you work in accounts but rock like you work in the Warehouse.Cool stuff.

In Roland Website it says 2w, and the RX is 5w
I think it's 2w (At least according to roland), are you sure your amp is the roland micro cube and that it's 12w?

By far the best little practice amp out there, and Ive tried them all.
There is no B.S presets that you will never use either.

Thanks for the response. I've been playing since 1964: First songs were Beach Boys.
Been through rock, including Stones, Led, Van, all of them, but always in the background- my roots, the Blues.
Don't let appearances fool you. We all have a little bit of soul in our hearts. Thanks again...
