Lake Huron/Michigan is the largest freshwater lake in the world by area. The only difference between the two lakes is the name. Geologically speaking they are the same body of water.
The only difference is in naming which has no bearing on scientific fact. The video is misleading and an example of what is wrong with our educational system.
@cchanderson That distinction SHOULD be noted no doubt. Not technically incorrect though IF we arbitrarily give Michigan & Huron different names even though they are connected.

@alanrt63 What would happen if Canada renamed their side of Lake Superior Lake Little Bear?
Would Lake Superior then be half as large?
