  • God bless this poor man.......

  • why did he have to go like that?

    fuck this gay earth.

  • Pide a la Ministra de Sanidad la aplicación de los últimos descubrimientos médicos para la curación.

    actuable.es de la paraplejia

  • RIP

  • what a cool dude such a shame what happened

  • What a great vision... too bad there weren't any producers who weren't just doing crappy commerce. If only Chris had been born 30 years later - the actors they're getting to play the part are either just politics (gay) or self aware attempts to follow Chris' act (man of steel).

  • A great guy to watch. I have to say superman 4 was pretty bad though.

  • This is so hard to watch..

  • when was this interview taken?

  • This guy was handsome.

  • "Listen....if you really have a problem, I'm on the other end of the phone"

I really like that line.....don't know why.

  • time like we haveing now day i wish we had a man like superman but that wishfull thinkiing

  • Superman IV was such a pile of crap.

  • I miss Christopher Reeve, and I also miss Richard Pryor :(

My big Brother had an video recorder when I was still a child, lol, it was an old Video 2000, and near every weekend he had to show me one of the Superman movies, because he, Chris, was my hero.

One day he asked me: "I have other movies too, you know?"

O.k., o.k. Star Wars and Indiana Jones where also nice :D

At 6:15, Zod, Ursa, and Non are dieing in the Fortress of Solitude (Superman II), but i think not in the director's cut ;)

  • the scene in the junkyard is one of the best scenes in all Superman movies...

  • fucking HaNDSOME !

  • People can't play superman well these days because of visual effects, they are just puppits,,, christopher reeves as you seen believed in inner creativity and imagination to relate to the role, like if you really believed you were superman how would you act? look at the guy in superman returns, his emotion is lacking, his facial expressions are less presenting than they are suppose to be - actors had to really work hard back before visual effects this is why they are much more relatable!

  • richard pryor 'problems" damn

  • Checkout his expression at 0:13.

  • best Superman ever!

  • My first hero. No better moral compass than Christopher Reeve's Superman. Makes it all the better that he was a swell guy too.

  • It's amazing to consider that, when it comes to Superman - Christopher Reeve STILL has never been topped. It's been roughly 25 years since he last played the character, 35 years since he first played the character, and he remains the only one who really 'nailed it.' Others have tried, but no one has eclipsed him yet. Henry Cavill's got his work cut out for him!

  • Watch ..... "Somewhere in Time" and the movie, "The Bostonians" ..... I had no idea how talented Christopher Reeve really was ..... Excellent actor!

  • @brochze1 He was the villain in the 1982 movie, Death Trap with Michael Caine.

  • He made us believe a man could fly.

  • @ParryVsPerryVideos This was obviously BEFORE the accident.

  • i agree that no one else has been able to play Superman the way Christopher Reeve did. He will always be my hero, miss him do much.

  • Thanks for the information

  • There will only ever be one Superman, and he is Christopher Reeve x

  • Amazing! Christopher Reeve is the one and only REAL LIFE SUPERMAN.

  • @ajittffcure well he AND Shaquile Oneal

  • when was this interview??

  • @appsenta during or after Superman 4. even though this Superman movie sucked i do take respect that he tried so hard to please the fans of Superman and really believed he was make a good film. He is a great Superman and for many he is their Superman, i'm only 18 so i grew up on Smallville so Tom Welling is my Superman but Chris had a great role in Smallville as the Dr. Swan to help Clark discover who he is! RIP Reeve

  • We miss you Christopher, thank you for your contribution to my childhood happiness, Nico from Argentina =D

  • I saw SUPERMAN RETURNS once and once was enough for me

  • Lean el reporte sobre la nueva foto de Cavill en “Man of Steel” y miren el nuevo traje de Superman en nuestro sitio en español de cine y música Manganzon... com

  • such a nice guy, just watched superman, it was amazing!

so sad, im actually crying :((

    such a good actor.

    r.i.p christopher reeve x

  • WHERE ARE ACTORS LIKE THIS GUY? miss you chris,...

    miss the classy demeanor.

    SUPERMAN,..............INDEED.

  • @Sentidocomuncabron you are soooo fucking gay.

  • christopher reeve looks alot like denis quaid

  • "I had seen a television show in Boston. Children were talking about what it is like to grow up in the ATOMIC age. At the same time, people were saying that I had the attention of the kids and that I should take advantage of that, so I said, OK, here's a way to consider this topic. I needed the motivation to really want to play Superman again."

--Christopher Reeve (1952 - 2004), on where the idea for the Quest for Peace came from

  • He was offered the lead part in American Gigolo, but turned it down. He was also offered a part in Good Morning Vietnam but turned that down too. It went to JT Walsh.

  • Such a beautyfull man ! I love u chris

  • Richard Pryor....problems....yep drug adict

  • 2:14 beautiful beauuuuuuuuutiful smile love u superman

  • No offence but Mr. Reeve looks like Brandon Rooth..maybe that's why Rooth was chosen for the part !!

  • God said: There will only be one superman! The next thing that happened is that Christopher Reeve had his accident

    LEGEND

  • Whoops! That's more than a typo for sure! I meant to say "So by having films that avoid themes with corruption and murder and indulgence we mistakenly lead people to believe it's possible to live without these things..."

  • So by not having films that avoid themes with corruption and murder and indulgence we mistakenly lead people to believe it's possible to live without these things. A world without murder, without indulgence, without corruption. If it's true that people actually start to believe this, then what will they do when they see corruption and murder and indulgence in RL? Do they just ignore it, fight it, or accept it? What do they do in this twisted manner of thought?

  • Then again. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt since this is Reeves. Perhaps by having corruption and murder and indulgence on full display in film is telling people that it happens and will always happen. In a way, isn't it telling us that nothing we do will ever stop it? All we can do is fight and fight and fight it, forever and ever? Might that make some people complacent? Might it make some feel we shouldn't even try to fight it since it's so fundamental to our nature?

  • He thinks it's good not to have people die in a movie? But isn't that giving kids the wrong impression? People die in RL. It happens all the time. Why should movies paint a picture of life that's so misleading? I am not sure I'm with him on this. Not everything should be butterflies and rainbows. Corruption and murder and indulgence are factors of life and I think shouldn't be left out of film.

  • @gukonni In the Superman films, lives were at stake, but there was always the optimism that lives could be saved if a good person with power (Superman) would act. To oversimplify and say, "it's all rainbows and butterflies" is a mistake.

  • This is bizarre because he doesn't look like reeves here for some reason! Is that because he's younger than I'm used to? Looks like a differne person almost. I can tell it's him, just saying that he looked different here somehow.

  • I really don't want him to be gone.

  • reeve is the only real superman the other ones are just cheap imitations!!!

  • He really does look like Brandon Routh

  • @THEDARKKNlGHT1939 Correction Brandon Routh looks like Christopher Reeve.

  • @Varomarquez20 : (

  • the three steps joke was a reference to the Greatest American Hero lol Gotta LOVE Chris Reeve!

  • This guy is not the former president. I think this title is misleading

  • his eyes are brown ? they look brown in this interview

  • chris didnt notice that the blue on the suit kept geting lighter with each movie? watch all 4 movies. you'll see that in the first one, the suit is regular blue. then in the 4th one, its like a baby blue. LOL

  • part 4lol

  • is he wearing contact lenses

  • I see so much brandon routh here

  • Okay, so out of all people, this guy, Christopher Reeve, a.k.a. "SUPERMAN" becomes disabled and can't WALK let alone even FLY anymore?! That's a load of complete ironic inevitable B.S.

We should've known this would be!

  • He is def my favorite Superman! Christopher Reeve is The Superman

  • he is a Legend absolut love him and his movies god bless him

  • He was so handsome, wow. R.I.P.

  • where is his feeding tube?

Can't believe camera tricks these days, to say he was paralysed!

  • @flimda This was before the accident. It was while he was promoting Superman 4 in 1987. He was paralyzed in 1995.

  • I saw this first time. IT is so freaky

  • omg, that is sSSOOO öhm for me

  • @Hittman305 i guarantee you that his feelings won't be hurt if he is dead.

  • Fuck horses.

  • I honestly didn't know he died, that's very sad, I thought he was still being helped(watched a video of him in a pool a while ago).

I always think whenever Superman's mentioned that even though the old Superman's are cheesy they're so cool and I love them and that was back then, today there's better technology(not CGI) just better stunt stuff, you can do more so Christopher Reeve would be even better today.

It's just a sad but a nice thought of him as Superman, bit hard to describe in words.

  • Reeve is the one and only Superman

    Legend

  • @apollo112 No, George Reeves was a legend.

  • R.I.P.

  • People died in Superman 2 when the criminals are on the moon the girl wrecked the astronauts suits and they suffocated. In 4 I'm sure somebody died in all those explosions n stuff.

  • I believe he's referring to the main characters and what is shown. General Zod, Ursa and Non only looked like they perished. They actually survived. It's in the deleted scenes.

  • @evilspike13 That would be they that I had been troubled with referring to criminals Yes. Wow Deleted scenes you say I gotta see this. but I still think somebody would have died with all the vehicles and buildings being broken and stuff. at the very least someone would have been severely hurt.

  • @Jacklgf

    omg....lol

  • damn this guy is amazing man he had body problems and he still gave it his all to give us superman and i love it when he says *u know not 1 person dies in superman 4* thats how u can tell he cares about the todler/young community...but ofcourse thats obviouse

  • So far no one has been able to play a better Superman than this superman himself. Love this guy and always remember him for his great simplicity as a human being, father and husband. In my heart forever Mr. Christopher Reeve. You have my respect and admiration....

  • @sonofkrypton78 Not that many has played Superman since him...

  • Superman offers movie goes something more real? Haha, sure it does.

  • Apparently, there are 3 people who DISLIKE this Interview video - why?? Nobody in their right mind, could possibly dislike Christopher Reeve. Idiots!!!!

  • Such a wonderful person. Real person, good person, too many kind words describe this man! He will always be missed!

  • So this was for Superman... 4? Notice how he said "Problems" in ref to Pryor lol...

    Good advice on acting

  • So this was for Superman... 4? Notice how he said "Problems" in ref to Pryor lol...

  • what year was this interview?

  • Hes one of those people that stays young forever.! xD

  • A Hero to some...

    An Inspiration to most.....

    and a SUPERMAN to All!

    We miss you Christopher Reeve!!!

    Rest in Peace Superman.

  • Didn't those criminals from Krypton die in the 2nd movie?

  • dumb ass not if your name IS Jimmy Carter and this is what you do..have him change his name...or maybe you yours!

  • Comment removed

  • "Ask Jimmy Carter" is misleading...I thought this was an interview between Christopher Reeve and the former President...?

  • 1:55 "Other than age and infirmity ..."

    Oh dear :S

  • Christopher Reeve. Superman Forevermore.

  • He was a wonderful actor in the movie "somewhere in time" and "rear window". A good actor who died too young.

  • wow he wasn't really feeling RP wearing the pink cape down the building... I'm pretty sure things are good between the 2 stars in the afterlife ;D

  • no other superman than christopher reeve

  • He's A total gentleman! We need more role-models like him for your youth.

  • I really liked the point that Christopher Reeve made about the fact that not one person dies in any of the four films and also how safe and family friendly they are. Compare them to say the Saw films, I know which ones I'd rather watch.

  • @CelticPowerRanger Compare it to something else lol because Saw and Superman are totally different.

  • it's not gonna make them pick up a gun, but it might make some kids try to fly, and that's really bad if you live in the 10th floor of a huge building.

Even though, superman is one of my biggest childhood superheros, just behind spiderman, I think they really give kids hope of a better world :)

  • What a handsome man! Im not gay but that Christopher Reeve will always be Superman! Im sorry for everybody else....

  • year?

  • @03200924 Either 1986 or '87 around the release or shooting of "Superman IV: The Quest for Peace".

  • gorgeous!

  • 2:53 Me: Siskel & Ebert.

  • Wow. Extremely handsome and thoughtful. I admire his honesty, particularly about Superman III. I don't think actors now would dare be so honest.

I also rather like what he said about the part playing the actor. I think the same could be true of many arts other than acting, such as music or dance. I'll be thinking about that when I next play a song.

  • I remember reading in the paper when he died! The headline was Superman is dead! And to me chris was Superman and when he died so did Superman regardless of Superman returns! Such a shame.

  • YOU WILL ALWAYS BE MY SUPERHERO!!!!!!! I LOVE YOU CHRISTOPHER REEVE!!!

  • Goodness! Im so used into seeing Christopher Reeves wearing jet-black hair. Is that his natural hair color? Indeed, he's awesome in his four Superman films.

  • Omg... I just researched I never knew he passed away in 2004.. Best superman actor ever.. I meant he lived Superman, not act it! RIP

  • This is pretty sad what happened to him. He should receive 90% of all the earnings although nothing can really be replaced for what happened. Btw, when was this interview?

  • he wus a hottie :3

  • Oh my god! This man was so beautiful, when I was a kid, I wanted to marry him!! Yes, he REALLY was a true superman.

  • i saw this ,first film 1978 with my late mum .and it was great .thats i hang onto. Christopher Reeve. a great actor that will never die.

  • Pyramid person. One of the most disrespectful comments. It is not funny when you make a joke like that with the tragedy he had to face. Grow up people.

  • Stupendo tvtb

  • no one can replace this real superman..

  • And now he cant fly

  • 3 people got their asses kicked by Superman.

  • A fascinating man.

  • we all miss him

  • Superman IV is one of my favorite movies. Nuclear man is just plain awesome! I love the battels between the man of steel and nuclear man. I think anyone who can burn footprints in the floor is a great super villian.

  • People simply don't give Superman IV the credit it deserves. Yes the effects are bad, and there are a few lapses in logic, but the budget they had to work with has to be considered, and above all, the heart of the movie must be considered. The film has a moral, an idea, and it stands with it. That's something not many films, especially children's films can say today outside of Pixar.

  • @franjarobe 'One' of 'em.

  • IT WAS HIS SUPERMAN I JUST GOT ALL 4 ON DVD AND IM ENJOYING ALL THE MOVIES THEY ARE ALL Reeve AT HIS BEST AND HOW I WISH TO REMEMBER

  • to .Christopher Reeve and your wife.you left a great legend ,one that wont be forgot, you are superman ,ex lee lighting.

  • Superman !

  • He will always be my Superman...

  • OMG he was so good looking OMG

  • I love his sayings on rich pryor "Whoops!" lol, rest in peace chris hope to see you in heaven buddy!

  • I remember being in 9th period study hall, the last class of the day, picking up a paper to learn that Christopher Reeve had died.

  • @RESIDENTRYAN In the face of such a Tragedy, It is extremely gratifying to know younger people attach to Christopher Reeve's Superman....Morals are alive in the next generation....as is Christopher Reeve....The ONLY Superman

  • He looks like he couldve been a great villain. If given a proper script. And yes I know hes Superman.

  • the book,,somewhere in time made me cry,,,keep on flying superman...

  • He was a beautiful person inside and out.

  • @butterflikissies marsh cu cuvintele astea tuten gura de proasta

  • @butterflikissies how do u know he is beutiful inside? i hope is not from this 7 min interview...

  • @butterflikissies

    Jimmy Carter?

  • So beautiful inside and out. Here in Taiwan we have his story in our English textbook. He's really an inspiring true hero.

  • The best Superman ever.....

  • he was perfectly fitted for the role in smallville as Jonathan Kent :) Rip :(

  • We miss You, Superman.

  • Part of Superman IV was filmed in my city...in the UK !!

If I mention the town to other UK residents they would not believe it.

  • @Phavonic where?

  • @Phavonic what town? :O

  • why do bad things happen to good people

  • I'm so glad my dad introduced me to Christopher Reeve's Superman movies when I was little. Because no matter what, I will always picture Reeve's face whenever Superman is mentioned.

  • He was so clever

  • i love you .x so sweet

  • Superman 3 was horrible, but Mr. Reeve delivered one of the best performances I have ever seen in that movie, when he plays both Clark and Superman in the junkyard fight. Legendary.

  • @hatewheel That supercomputer was awesome.

  • it's the superman curse

  • man that is hard to watch

  • me llama mucho la atencion la intencidad de su mirada WOW

  • What a man. He was a fine decent man. What a pity he is no longer there. For actors. He is Superman. Lots of children suffered when he flew away.... A great positive attitude for actors who don't act any longer - like me.

  • who did die in Superman 1 ??

  • @Ahmedabdelreheem

Millions of people died in Superman 1. His Father and mother for a start. And the whole entire Krypton Planet. Perhaps we can't really call them people though. In the story I guess they are aliens but they looked like people with a white glowing costume on. Did the pilot of the helicopter die later in hospital? We never found out...

  • @TonyW1000 i knew it lately. he's the guy who died due to the train underground. he was a police informer maybe.

  • @TonyW1000 Billions!

  • ooops! my undies fell off just watching this video lol!

  • @rands214 did you take them off more like lol

  • that smile! Chris didn't lose it! He's the Superman in both movies and reality! Lord have mercy on him. R.I.P. Superman Christopher Reeve.

  • This guy was a real superman........

  • I met him once. He was kind and forgiving. His then fiancee was with him. She was warm and just as forgiving. This was shortly before the accident. The subsequent years were a nightmare. I treasure meeting both of them.

  • Like, so wonderful to see him when he was in good condition. Then he got hosed. Now he's dead. So sad, babes!

  • That was interesting: "Richard Pryor?"

    "Problems"

I wonder if he was referring to his crack pipe. In Richards autobiography he talks about being out of his nut while making 'Superman III' and having a fling with Margot Kidder

  • @kamelion7

I think he just thinks of the movie sucking, when he thinks of pryor, not pryor himself being the problem. could be wrong though.
