Funny, bright, witty, talented, and ultra-feminine - what more could a guy ask for? Edie Adams was an icon and eye-candy on T.V. for us boys in the '60s. What a babe. Seeing her again in these clips, it seems more likely that Marilyn (another super-babe) got a lot of her bits from Edie, and not the other way around. Ernie had to of been one of the luckiest stiffs ever, to have had and loved her. Thanks again
I love Edie....but this is not one of her best. The key is about a whole step low (bottom notes in the melody sound kind of "froggy). And Edie had a soft, sultry, sexy voice suited to quiet backgrounds and intimate moments. She wasn't as effective when trying to "belt it out". On 50's tv variety shows, often they wanted to show the performer's range...so she got this to sing. Oh well I still love her no matter what.
I wasn't aware she died. She was damn good. She was quite busy in the early 60s and I would enjoy seeing her on TV. She also turned in an excellent performance, if I recall correctly, in the movie "The Apartment."
Does she know she's in a gay bar? LOL
But seriously, Edie was the greatest!
