In fly traps, you can use a drop of liquid dish soap to remove water surface tension and cause the flies to drown. It might work for mosquitoes also. Perhaps a deep enough pan of water with a drop of dish soap would do the job. The mosquitoes land on the water.. glub... glub......
Once we wipe out all mosquitos, I'd say we turn our attention to Deer Flies...They suck blood too, and I found 10 on one side of my horse's neck a few weeks ago...poor guy's a deer fly magnet :(
AGNIQUE® MMF creates a Micro Film on top the water surface that prevents mosquito larvae from getting air and drowning. But I've also noticed another effect which is that when the female mosquitoes fly down to land on the surface to lay eggs, they get "sucked" under the film and drown too. Much like this video...
Ummm, why not just a small layer of the stuff at the bottom? It's not so much as the coating that's used on the nets that's killing them, but the coating on the surface of the water preventing them from staying on top of the surface. Reminds me of the AGNIQUE® MMF I've been using.

NICE!
It removes surface tension from the face of the water and yet doesn't poison creatures residing underneath?
That beaker in itself is already a quite efficient mosquito trap!
Lol I think when I get that solution I'm gonna start filming "mosquito epic fails" to humiliate them, and then let them drown to death.
I hate them so much I love this video.
