These two films were previously released in USA in a very truncated 90 min. version called Journey To The Lost City.I once recommended these films to a friend and after she saw the 90 min version she said "Huh? It's terrible." not knowing that the original versions are much longer. Fantoma has a 201 min DVD version they're calling complete.I would definitely try this first. It's my opinion that Lang was as great in 1961 [1000 Eyes....] as he was in 1926 [Metropolis] GREAT!!!!

Just as a little side note to my comment below. Fritz Lang started making movies in Germany in 1919. By the end of the silent era he was already considered ONE OF THE WORLD'S GREATEST DIRECTORS. When Hitler gained power he summoned Lang to his office and told Lang he wanted him to be in charge of the whole German propaganda film industry. As the story goes, all this time Lang was glancing at his watch and trying to figure out when the next train was leaving out of Germany.

This film is the second part of a film called The Tiger of Eschnapur 1959.It was the next to last film Fritz Lang made..If this segment sparks a little interest in you try renting Metropolis 1926 Spione 1928 M 1932 Manhunt 1941 Ministry of Fear 1945 Scarlet Street 1945 The Big Heat 1953 The 1000 Eyes of Dr. Mabuse 1961.Fritz Lang is a cinematic treasure!!!

@krufdx thanks krufdx. Lang is a very unusual director. He is highly intelligent yet a lot of his pictures have stories that a 10 year old boy would love. All the Doctor Mabuse films are about a mad doctor who is trying to control the world. Metropolis is an early sci fi a kid would love seeing. So its not surprising a child would find a lot of amazing things in Tiger of Eschnapur although its very sophisticated and adult in its approach. You can see Lang himself in Godard's great film Contempt

You are only partially correct. Older people from India often have no interest in speaking the language of the country that they live in, at least that is the case in the UK.
