The problem I foresee with this material felt, is the mildew and unhealthy fungi spores that flourish on these wet surfaces. I would be looking for a alternative material that can be easily power washed and given a fresh start annually. Something similar to that 2" thick black fiber meshed filtering used on furnace ventilation's.
Long term results are important. What ever system used, the main thing is to get the plants right. As long as the potting mix remains, tough plants like Lomandra will keep going.
Um, the felt which is made of recycled clothing is surely going to rot over time. Also what effect do the dyes and other materials from the recycled clothes have on the plants. Anyone can just plant a wall make it look pretty. I want to see long term results.
@dotway We manufacture it in Canada. And make shipment worldwide..we also have different qualities. call us. ( EnviroZone Vertical Garden )
@horseracingclips our Hydro-Felts are made with polyamide, no rot, no moist, no fungus...I have 10 years old vertical gardens here in Montréal, Canada.. absolutely wonderfull, I personnaly use the most resistant - re-enforced long lasting material we produce. 3-6 mm thick.

@dotway Any luck in finding that kind of felt? The only way I can find it is if it's already a part of a larger system. Thanks!
