Excellent video but then, all of Varvara (Barbara) ' s videos are good. Question though; many of the videos with Varvara and Ruslana have the same two guys in the background either dressed in the style of native Americans playing drums or, as in Katyusha, they were playing accordions. Does anyone know who they are or indeed, where to get info on any of the backing groups that Ruslana and Varvara have worked with?

nadeem, I posted these here earlier last year, but they've been pushed to the bottom, & separated by other comments, so I've reposted them. They're in the following order:

Cyrillic Russian

Latinized Russian

The 2 versions are interleaved with each other so that you can learn Cyrillic while you sing along with the Latin lyrics. It's easy to figure out after awhile, the Cyrillic alphabet is just a hybrid version of the Greek, & Latin Alphabets, with some specialized characters for other sounds.

What is meant by odna is alone, and I'd like to understand it too. I think she's talking about being alone without someone, maybe a leader, maybe a family member, maybe a lover. It's hard to know because it's just a song, and it may be allegorical in nature.

It is most likely to be allegorical on multiple levels, just look at any (non-live) russian music video there´s a lot to be red between the lines and some of the videos are very heavy / surrealistic! -This is not "bubble-gum" pop!!! :-)

What does ot mean "nitechka"? 'cause in Polish it means: "small needle /or pin"
