  • idiot, they are not crusaders, sikhs never have or ever will go on crusades, whether it be to dominate, conquer or convert, sikhs protect those from oppression - not carrry out oppression missions themselves.

  • Mind ur language bro. Maharaja Ranjit Singh did rule over Muslim dominated Kashmir and NWFP against their will. If not religious it was definitely imperial conquest. His army was led by Akali Phula Singh and his Nihangs. Get ur facts and history correct and stop living in utopia.

  • which part of my language needs minding you ingnorant twit, you talk about crusades yet being called an idiot appauls you, sikh revilted agaist and stood their ground against islamic oppression, we didnt go to saudi arabia to conquer them we defended against them when they seeked to come to india and rule. there were no muslims in india, it was brought to us and we rose against crusaders and conquers, we we never went to impose our beliefs on others.

  • After Ranjit Singh unified Punjab, he was fighting for purely imperialistic ambitions (which is something I am not ashamed of). There was nothing holy about his wars. He did try to impose Sikh rule forcibly on Muslim territories. My intention of calling Nihangs as crusaders was not to vilify them but to draw the parallel between crusaders as holy warriors of Christianity and Nihangs as holy warriors of Sikhism.

  • lol at 0.36

  • Very impressive! I found this using google earth at lat 31.244507° long 76.499176°

  • lemme tell u these swords weigh some real x_x

  • gatka cannot be done with the heavier swords that were used by the nihang singhs

  • haha listen to what he says at 0:36

  • Check out the "paan da yaar" comment at about 35. lol

  • LOL that's hilarious

  • lemme tell u those swords r heavy as hell!

  • it is not a sword dance it is called gatka

  • It is both dance and form. Sword Dance has been culturally relevant in many cultures longer than European cultures have known of them.

  • Hi Kittenclaws, its not a sword dance I am proficent in gatka, and the closest I can say it is is something like an imporvised katha

  • maybe u should learn shastar vidiya instead?

  • nah trust me its not a sword dance its Gatka its based on a martial art calld Shastr Vidiya

  • yes but gatka is still a dance, even shastar vidiya practitioners would consider gatka a dance!

  • @lionjatsingh

They are shadow sparring in this video... if they were in a 1v1 situation, i doubt you would call it a dance.

  • it's Gatka, way too far from a dance!

  • yea man take dance off the TITLE

  • nope its much closer to a dance than shastar vidiya

  • its not a dance..its martial art!!

  • Its not a dance, its a form (like a karate kata), the whole purpose of it is to utilise correct footwork (called the penthra) with handwork for whatever weapon the Singh is using.
