Thanks for the video that you took. I'm really miss Ubon. I was born in Ubon. Actually you should try BBQ Chicken and Sticky rice. That's so good. They will come in the morning about 2 stations before arriving to Ubon.

Personally I've taking the train once from korat to Nong Khai but no food was served.
I'm planning a trip this November
Bangkok to Ubon Ratchathani but I'll be taking the night train in first class sleeper car. This will be my first time in a sleeper car and I'm counting the days.
The meal was fine, no problems afterwards. I recall there were even food sellers at the station stops on the route. Whenever travelling I always take a bag of biscuits or buns (from a 7/11) just in case hunger strikes.
I recently took a train ride to Sukothai. That took at least 8 hours. Interesting and great ride ride, but those seats are uncomfortable after sitting for so long!

We took the overnight sleeper. Bedding was clean but air con toooooo cold. Arrived in Ubon at 07.30 and didnt warm up until sun was high!
