  • Can you please do a video for Jalebi, I'm not sure of you have already or not.

    Thanks!!

  • @ngeorge87

Yes, we have a video already. Please look for it on our youtube channel or our website: ShowMeTheCurry (dot) com.

  • Nice recipe and omg, you ladies look gorgeous!

  • @ Hetal , Anuja: I tried making with the exact same method except I used red chilli powder and omitted Ginger n green chilli paste. My first batch was awesome.... :)

But when I had my second batch ( although the chakris were made on foil with the first batch) in oil, they broke and I had my chakris into small pieces.... :( Where did i go wrong?????

  • @mmpanwala

We usually form the chaklis a batch at at time. So, while one batch is frying, the other batch is formed. Maybe if you formed all of them at one time, the second and subsequent batches dried up.

  • Any substitute for sour cream? and what will be the ratio to the Rice Flour?

  • @nazziia : There are a lot of recipes that use other stuff (other than sour cream) but then those are different recipes. For this recipe there is no substitute for sour cream - sorry :(

  • are you ladies on a special diet? you look amazing. Anuja, you look different. have you lost weight? I think i should stop eating bread and eat more of your online recipes. thanks for encouraging us all.

  • is the colour of the chakri not ment to be yellow? and also as ur using sour cream how long will they stay good?

  • @mspatel89 : They are good for at least 2 weeks!

  • @mspatel89 : The shelf life of the chakli is approx a month.

  • could we use an icing bag?

  • @iDontNeedaUsernam : Yes, you can :)

  • that looks really good! :)

  • i hated cooking bfr but after looking at ur videos cooking has become my passion and my boyfriend loves it!!

btw I think u guys should have more viewers than other 'south asian chefs' on youtube.. due u think its cos some ppl view ur videos on showmethecurry (dot) com vs watching it on youtube(dot)com? if so do something to fix it..cos I wanna c u both as the most viewed Indian chefs on youtube!

  • @aaroohii i forgot the real reason why i stressed view count.. cos when someone searches for a recipe video, the most viewed/popular is usually the first ..what happens for e.g. is if i search for gajar ka halwa.. ur video was on the 2nd page.. so not many viewers would get a chance to know abt u..

  • @aaroohii : Thank you! We will look into it :)

  • Lot of same recipe videos posted again and again on the web. I was hoping to see some originality or may be chakri made from moond dal. Something new is needed. Hope you understand what I mean to say. Like your channel though.

  • hey can you please do a recipe for vindaloo ? =]

  • I like the idea of substituting sour cream for oil, by the way, Happy Diwali to you and your family.

  • isn't it to fatty?. But it looks so good.

  • they look soooo good

  • Plz change your intro... the previous one was good. I just don't like this one!!

  • I kind of pride myself on LOVING Indian & Thai cuisine which is difficult to come by here in the States (yeah, I'm a dumb American Yank... lol) and I swear I could eat Curry, Tandoori, Saag, Vindaloo, Naan, Roti, Masala, Paneer, Panang, Kapow and on and on 24/7/365! Having said all of this, that is the oddest kitchen contraption I have ever seen! hahaha You taught me about something I had never even heard of before... thank you! :-D

  • also happy diwali to u

  • thanks a million... m in uk...this made me feel elated...
