  • do they actually move by them selves like in the movie

  • Those shoes are awesome, but I want them to self-lace so I don't have to do the stupid shoe-tying junk. I'll just wait for the self-lacing version.

  • Made by children, FOR CHILDREN O_o

    Nike

  • OOOOOOMG GODDDDDDDDDDDD

  • Someone is gonna be killed over some nikes soon. Just sayin

  • I found a DeLorean T-Shirt today... Oficially liscenced... pretty bamf

  • dammmmm i really want these shoes back the to the furture best movie of all time

  • lol

  • @Jon you could just buy 2 pairs and leave one at home and wear one! :D

  • If they do what they did in the movie i would buy it..

  • if its going for more than a couple of thousands of dollars, why not put the mechanism for power lace? Its ridiculous really, but ive heard rumors by 2015, they will actually release the full package for these guys furthermore, They will sell these guys like jordans, $300 or more atleast without the lights or something's gonna be missing to make it more affordable for us to buy it. Wouldn't it be odd that people originally bought the mags priced @ $3 grand?

  • 2200-3000$ nikes? no thanks :-P

  • Those Shoes Are So McFLY

    ZING...

  • im gona try on the lottery and buy 10 pairs yes 10

  • i wish i could get a pair

  • Hmmm... there's an ad for the Mag on this video...

  • Screw these shoes I want a PROWLER! HAHAHAHA

  • $2000 as starting bid :( got to excited

  • For the price they are going at I would probably put them in a glass case on a shelf. However If I got them for a few hundred or so I would totally wear them around.

  • That's awesome! Too bad they don't self lace though :\

  • I want these shoes, but I would probably never where them.

  • I want these shoes, but I would probably never where them.

  • @Jon, if you could choose anything else (besides delorean) that could be created or sold from BTTF, what would it be? Me personally, the hover board.

  • What's your address? I'm going to send you a cookie. You seem to be egging for one here.

  • Even though they seem cool, I don't think I'd ever try to get them. To me they seem more of a gag item than something to actually wear.

  • day-sha-voo!!

  • hey jon im with you men those shoes are too expensive just M. J. can buy it but they are just shoes, shoes you can t fly with them not even if you don t a par push a button and im here you know what i meant but somepeople gonna buy it becuase they re money push estorve them jejej

  • Hey Jon this is completely unrelated but did you here the name of Joan Collins new book, 'the world according to Joan' ... Yep.

  • Cool. Basically too expensive for me and as far as I'm concerned, these are a novelty item. Nice WATJ, Jon.

  • Nice this was uploaded on my birthday. What great news from one of my fav movies!

  • 30,000....AND IT DOESNT FUCKING SELF LACE!? I CAN ADOPT A CHILD AND ITLL COST LESS!

  • Awesome I can buy shoes that I cant wear for 4 years from now

  • Do they auto-lace?

  • @NCONiall no they said they didn't

  • my brother works for nike and designs shoes there. I found out about these early

  • 30,000 or more is realy not worth a pair of kicks so that can smd

  • Heya guys, do you know where I can actually watch BTTF?

  • I can't wait for hoverboards....

  • Wait.... They don't self lace? Then what's the point?

  • Too damn expensiveeeee! I WANT THOSE SHOOOOES.

  • One pair was bought by Tinie Tempah for $37,500. Guess when you get a hit, you can spend big money.

  • I WANT! I wish I had an extra $30 000 lying around...

  • I desperately want them! But considering that I need $30,000 for University, those shoes aren't going to be mine anytime soon.

  • mabey ill bid over 1 dollar :D

  • I would pay $200 at most. When they are available for that price (and they will be, in a few years WITH power laces) I will get a pair!

  • next is the size adjusting jacket with drying mode i cant wait for that

  • In 2015 they will start using the self lasing..duh!

  • Its kind of neat, have you actually ever sat around and compared what they predicted and whats actually true to this day?

  • First.

  • @bobmatino17 first what?

  • They dont self lace until 2015.

  • It's cool they did this...and it's awesome that they are being auctioned for charity...

    but the shoes don't auto-lace.

    Sadness.

Not to mention the first pair went for $37K.

  • So awesome, but so fucking expensive. Guess we'll have to wait until 2015.

  • I'd wear them. But I've seen one auction with one pair at one point with a bid of $11,100. I can't afford that.

  • I saw the ad on a shaytards vid. He was talking about getting two working delorians and I guess they took the captions and used it for advertising. Pretty clever, Google.

  • @TurtlesThoughts - They've always done that. That's how the ads work.

  • @Jon I didn't know they actually used a transcript from the voices heard though. I guess they've up'd their game since the meta tag days. lol

  • i agree, a shoe of that awesomeness must not be hidden.

  • If you wear this in the public, your feet will be cut off..

  • @K2ACP - I guess you're not a BTTF fan... or a philanthropist.

  • @Jon It's not like you're going to buy those shoes either

  • @Jon Or maybe he just doesnt have the money for luxuries like that. No offence, K2ACP

  • @K2ACP Oh stereotypes. :D I am a girl and I hate shoes.

  • @K2ACP fagg

  • @K2ACP you're an ass

  • @wertyuioman and you're a penis

  • @K2ACP Respect his opinion.

  • $6,600 for size 10!

  • Very Cool! --- Sent From jpizzle1122's AppRats (Facebook App)!

  • too bad the product looks nothing like the original shoes in the movie, right?

  • @VViP30U7 - Except it looks exactly the same?

  • @Jon there now like 3,700

  • OMG ON EBAY IT IS FROM $1 THOUSAND TO $10 THOUSAND

  • Hey Jon, are you going to do a WATJ on the blackout in San Diego?

  • I want a hover board!

  • They're not self-lacing!?! Then what's the point?

  • Why dont they just sell 100000000000 of them at 500 a piece?

  • @wadens1 I agree! 5,000+ US$ for a pair of shoes is absolutely nuts!

  • @wadens1 Because they cost more to produce than that... They would lose a shitload of money.

  • @runescapefamilyguygy they are technically loosing money anyway... all procedes from the sale of this shoe is going to charity

  • @wadens1 nike would be no more

  • If i was a millionaire, I would totally buy you a pair Jon <3

  • Now they just need a hover board...

  • as of like 5 min ago there only at $5,500 at most

  • AHhhhhhhhhhhhh If only i was not poor and had such big feet i love a a pair there sooooooooooo coool

  • So now the movie his accurate, unlike stuff with flying cars.

  • IMO, in 2015 they will release the self lacing ones..

    I'll save my non-exsistent 30.000$ for then

  • If Nike released this line of shoes, they would make a ton of money, could get away with selling them for a little more, AND STILL still donate the money from the first 1500 pairs to Michael J. Fox's Parkinsons foundation, or just donate a percentage of profit of all the MAG shoes. Everybody would win that way. Nike makes money, gets press, funding gets in for research on Parkinson's disease, and the consumer gets awesome shoes that are only slightly overpriced.

    Corporations are stupid.

  • Nikie?

  • I expect a public release of these shoes in Q4 2012.

  • talk about the swedy balls ice cream

  • Oh man I want some of those! Its sad that they don't self lace though! I still think they're totally cool and the proceeds thing is really awesome! If they make mass market self lacing shoes like this I will buy them for sure.

  • It was only a matter of time before you did this story.

  • I Got A Pair For 100 Dollars Not that popular but ther shipping in like 40 days

  • They're available in sizes 7-13 but are going at $5,400 minimum bid right now and they are only available in the United States due to regulations on items containing battery packs; so hopefully we will see Nike make an official full scale release of the shoes some time after this charity event. Still a great cause though

  • I have hands, and I'm not lasy, I wouldnt pay 30.000$ for such shoe for lasy people

  • @Jon I don't know if you've seen this yet, but you should! (yes, it's related to this subject...) /watch?v=pxQQV-XukRc&feature=player_embedded

  • I want a pair soooo baaaaaad ... Been a hug BTTF fan since forever, and these would be the pride of my wardrobe ... WHY must they be so expensive?! )':

  • @RyuksGirl 5k

  • i found a pair for only $1.00 0 bids. 2 days left...

  • Why the hell do people watch the news if this exists?

  • I believe I was the first to tell you about this, Jon.

Unless you didn't hear about it over Twitter.

  • Anyone else see non-BTTF fans (if that's even possible) buying some of these and waiting a while then re-selling them for more?

  • now please make the almanac

  • These shoes would get the wearer sooo much pussy.

  • It's unfortunately true that these shoes are not self-lacing, however... NIKE has also stated that there will be another version of the shoe released in 2015 which WILL incorporate the self-lacing feature. So you may want to hold off and hang onto your life-savings for a few more years...

  • Those look just weird. Would you use them? Sure they are cool to have but damn.

  • Oh boy does this mean they're going to make hover boards next?

  • I'm a big fan of Back to the Future and I'm all for supporting big causes, but....THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLARS?! That's just....NO!

  • Fuck man I want those!

Oh well I would probably get some fake ones XD

  • Love your shirt!

  • they are not self lacing? screw that! pfffft:P

  • its like as if there was actually such thing as aperture science and they sold companion cubes.

  • Sometimes, big companys and corporations are cool too...

  • when these babies are worn around town, you're going to see some serious shit.

  • Sorry, but they are hideous.. and they don't self-lace. Get yourself a nicer pair of Nike shoes - they are cheaper.

  • "if she still has light up shoes, shes too young for your bro" Jersey Shore

  • Doesnt Nike use child labor to make their products? I guess they found a way to give back... kinda like ronald mc donald with his kids funds next to the register

  • If they werent so ugly and out of style I might but...

  • I stopped wearing light up shoes when I was like 4 lol

  • Comment removed

  • It says "DO THE 2011 NIKE MAG SHOES POWER-LACE? No. For the power-lace feature you will have to wait until 2015". Whether that is serious or not is debateable but it sounds genuine enough!

  • wow wow wow, good cause for good shoes =)

  • Why is there no more serious news, here?

  • @MrHuttJabbaThe This is as serious as it gets to any BTTF fan.

  • I'd wear them around the block or under special circumstances (perhaps where I'm escorted to a exclusive function that would have a minimal amount of evildoers) but I'd never throw caution into the wind and wear them downtown at 10pm on a friday night! Oops there goes 30,000 bucks! haha

  • maybe they'll be self lacing in 2015 XD

  • Its not just gomma be this year

  • lol epic

  • I'm with seanrquinn, why would you wear them around town. One small accident and there goes a 500 dollar stitch. I'm just saying

  • Maybe they dont self lace because Taiwanese workers cant figure out how to build them.

  • I want a hoverboard that comes with the shoes.

  • The cheapest pair I have seen so far on eBay was $4100. I'll buy a moto instead but they are cool.

  • what's the point if it doesn't self lace?

  • Hopefully Nike will bring out some self lacing shoes in future that are normal price range, hopefully in 2015.

Anyway, the idea of the money going to the Parkinsons foundation, great way to raise money for it.

  • Went to go bid, and they wont ship the item to Australia, so we miss out :(

  • These shoes are $300, these shoes are $300, these shoes are $300...

    LETS GET 'EM.

  • well...another item for my shattered dreams list.

hope they do perhaps bring out a cheaper model for the public (you know, common folk like you and i)

  • YES. IM GOING TO BUY THESE

  • they start at 4k

  • Is that a 'flux capacitor' t-shirt you're wearing?

  • @Pwnzjoomom yes it is

  • @Pwnzjoomom Yes

  • @Jon are these shoes like the one on the film? self lacing?

  • @grey790 Did you watch the video...?

  • @Hitogoji it was before i found out the shoes were not self lacing

  • @grey790 i know right

  • @grey790 You obviously ignored everything said in the whole video.... :-/

  • @canucktheclown it was before i found out the shoes were not self lacing

  • 6 people disliked this video.

  • you're an evil person Jon, i want these but i am broke... WHY DID YOU TELL ME ABOUT THESE!!! NOW I WILL BE SAD ALL DAY BECAUSE I CANNOT HAVE THEM!!!

  • When Are China Going To Make Copies Of These And Sell Them For $20 LOOOOoooOOL

  • they look shit though

  • Oh my god. Shoes.

  • Must. Have. Shoes.

  • i...i want so bad

  • @OpenCredits 4 1/2.

  • Gotta love the Flux Capacitor t-shirt!

  • It's so great that all of the money is going toward Michael's Foundation. ^_^

  • I want a hoverboard instead.. :( well maybe we'll get some in 2015...

  • i would buy a counterfeit copy

  • I had a pair of low-top, light up, Nike Air force 1 shoes. Damn things fell apart in 5 months. Based on that experience, I probably actually would just put these up for very special occasions.

  • make it an investment...but it than sell it for more in a few years, good way to make a few thousand bucks

  • all the size 13's are currently 4 grand and higher MUST TAKE OUT LOAN

  • This is awesome thanks for sharing. I would buy these but I would need a size 15 :(

  • 4 to 5 thousand dollars I am already out

  • It annoys me that there's not a girl size version. Best will in the world I will walk out of size 7's. I also don't have a spare fortune to spend.
