Take it in with your naked eye then turn a camera on it and look through the viewfinder or at an lcd screen. The moon will appear much smaller through the camera than with your naked eye

This appears to be real, perspective really isn't a valid argument, I have taken many college level drawing classes myself and see nothing wrong with this footage. Perspective is based a lot on line of sight, horizon etc. But as far as conspiracy goes Kerberoz01 what do you think of the facts in the first "moon landings" there is so much irrefutable evidence that is was a hoax. @imnazhole, same as last time: underexposure. Did you ever see stars in plain sunlight? Because that's what the moon's surface is in in these shots. What's fake are the Hollywood shots where you can comfortably see such a bright surface *and* faint little suns light years away with the same exposure settings.
The Earth you're viewing here on YouTube is being fed to you through is affected by the separation between your head and the screen, after having been filtered through the aspect ratio and screen size of your monitor, the size of the Flash Player on YouTube, and then the curvature of the lens through which the camera on Kaguya took this video.
So do not expect what you see to be the real size of Earth as you would see it if you were in Lunar orbit.

In the Earth-set footage the the light shows the coming from behind the camera left and the craters indicate the same thing.

As to the light and shadow, there is nothing strange in this footage.
Just see the shadow in the crater. The light is coming from right behind, which is the same direction of the light reflecting on the earth.
This is only one of many footages Kaguya had took. Please check all footages, if you suspect this one is fake. BTW, Kaguya is an unmanned robotic spacecraft.

for all the people who don't know any thing about photography, the reason why theres no stars is because they are to dim. the moon would have to be extremely over exposed. unfortunately (as much as we'ed like to believe) video cameras don't have the same ability's as the human eye. the stars could be in the picture if you take an exposure of the moon and then one of the star field and combined them. but since the moon is the target the stars have no importance

The Sun must be behind the satellite camera in order to see the entire earth face, isn't it? (lets say the Earth is at twelve o'clock and the Sun is at six o'clock or even five o'clock)
Why the Moon's craters seem to be iluminated from eleven o'clock? We can see the shadows over the Moon's surface but I think these shadows must not be there if the Sun hit them from behind...
The Mars rover Curiosity that will land on Mars in 2012 will bring back HD video footage with some 20 minutes lag since it will be on the other side of the sun by then... a mounted microphone will bring back sounds of wind and roving on the terrain, a lot fainter since the atmosphere is only 10% that of earth's but still amazing that we're able to hear sounds from another world.

Stars can not be seen due that the exposure is adjusted for full daylight. Sky looks black because there is no atmosphere at the moon, but it is daytime.

@filmdirector64 ACTUALLY, it is because of our LACK of ignorance that many people today now understand that in order to get away from the earth would require unending rocket thrust in order to spiral away from the earth's gravitational force and in doing so would conversely require the time and unending reversal of thrust direction to spiral down and slow down towards the moon. It is NOT POSSIBLE to leave the earth directly like NAWSA likes to show you in their cartoons.

@RSBmurdersquad How do you figure. In the Earth rise the craters indicate that the Sun is behind the camera, above it's right "shoulder". The Earth shows the upper right illuminated. In the Earth-set footage the the light shows the coming from behind the camera left and the craters indicate the same thing.

As to the light and shadow, there is nothing strange in this footage.
Just see the shadow in the crater. The light is coming from right behind, which is the same direction of the light reflecting on the earth.
This is only one of many footages Kaguya had took. Please check all footages, if you suspect this one is fake. BTW, Kaguya is an unmanned robotic spacecraft.

First that is not the surface of the moon. Second if you look at the horizon you can tell that it has been cut to mimic the arking of a planet. If you look where the black and the surface meet, you can actually see where the black cuts off some of the supposesly mountains. Good try though

You dont see how small the earth is? It's 6X larger than the moon. When we look at the moon from earth, its bigger than that. If you were on the moon looking at the earth, it should look 6X bigger than in that fake video. This video was to blackmail the USA into letting the Japs put there lab in the space shuttle. HD video? for all the people who don't know any thing about photography, the reason why theres no stars is because they are to dim. the moon would have to be extremely over exposed. unfortunately (as much as we'ed like to believe) video cameras don't have the same ability's as the human eye. the stars could be in the picture if you take an exposure of the moon and then one of the star field and combined them. but since the moon is the target the stars have no importance

oh! also, the guy who faked this footage should be fired as the sat passes over into night still no stars and as the earth sets as the sat passes under the southern part of the moon they used the same footage of the earth as it passed over the north just different moon footage and played it in reverse they could have at least flipped the earth picture over an made it look a little more real.

There's something I'm not sure about....
The Sun must be behind the satellite camera in order to see the entire earth face, isn't it? (lets say the Earth is at twelve o'clock and the Sun is at six o'clock or even five o'clock)
Why the Moon's craters seem to be iluminated from eleven o'clock? We can see the shadows over the Moon's surface but I think these shadows must not be there if the Sun hit them from behind...

The Mars rover Curiosity that will land on Mars in 2012 will bring back HD video footage with some 20 minutes lag since it will be on the other side of the sun by then... a mounted microphone will bring back sounds of wind and roving on the terrain, a lot fainter since the atmosphere is only 10% that of earth's but still amazing that we're able to hear sounds from another world.

Stars can not be seen due that the exposure is adjusted for full daylight. Sky looks black because there is no atmosphere at the moon, but it is daytime.
