  • Never play cards with a man that has the same first name as a city

  • Bobby Finstock. The man. The Coach. The Legend. Thank you for this classic scene!

  • never get less than 12 hours of sleep

  • looks like my old high school coach

  • love the old school kentucky fried chicken boxes brings me back

  • Looking back it seems somewhat ridiculous that a guy MJ Fox's size could be a basketball player at all no less one who had any credibility.

  • Husker Power! Beyotch! Mike Rozier, Turner Gill, Irving Fryar! Tom Osborne was AWESOME!

  • Husker Power! Beyotch! Mike Rozier, Turner Gill, Irving Fryar!

  • Husker Power!

  • Husker Power Bee-yotch!

  • He quit. He's a 3rd stringer. I didn't need him.

  • The nerve of Teen Wolf asking about puberty issues and then hitting up Bobby for some coin.

  • I luv this guy!! he must be hypoglycemic the way hes eating all the time lol

  • Finstock for president!! He is the most underrated character of the 80s. Hes so blissfully clueless to everything its a riot! what do you think?

  • 1:02 "I'M SORRY I DIDN'T NOTICE BUT I HAVEN'T BEEN HANGING AROUND THE LOCKER ROOM ALL THAT MUCH" WHAT THE FUCK

  • does anyone realize coach finstock farts in his seat while sitting up at the 1:14 min mark?

  • that guy would be a cool PE teacher, he would give full credit to you even if you took 25 minutes to run a mile.

  • "I haven't been hanging around the locker that much.." Haha

  • Coach is hiding from the mob and is in witness protection disguising as a coach I think. LOL!

  • Anyone want to join me on getting a t-shirt with the words 'I <3 Coach Finstock' on it???

  • You want a frie or a wing?

  • I think it's thigh, not fry.

  • The KFC is an early and simple example of what is called product "integration"..They actually wrote KFC product into the script...This is becoming more common today as product "placement" is being replaced by advertisers preferring to be part of the script itself rather than just be in the shot somewhere..I work in television media and so I see this all the time. Jay Tarses couldnt have done a better job as the Coach..Reminds me of Coach Ron Amy at Yorba Jr. High in Orange, CA..to a TEE!

  • "Mi casa es su casa" - yeah, sure ...

  • Cream cheese!

  • I like how Coach Finstock offers Scott some chicken when he walks in. This is the BEST of the worst movies ever made.

  • dont worry bout that, we all go through that, ha dont we just.

  • "what happened to the kid?"...."i don't know he quit, he was a third stringer, I didn't need him." hahahahaha...and the speech at the end was so random. Michael J. Fox was thinking to himself..."what the hell???." great movie.

  • Best coach ever!

  • i never did get the last quote

anybody know what the hell he ment by that

  • Its some good advice!!! 3 rules to live by, if you follow them, nothing else really matters.

  • maybe it meant she couldnt be trusted?

  • seriously one of the most underrated comedies, dressed up like a werewolf fantasy but man it is subtle

  • Is Jay Tarses(who plays Bobby Finstock) Jewish?

  • "its not how you play the game.. its if you win or lose... and even that doesn't even matter too much".

    great fucking coach!!!

  • i used to watch this movie when i was little, like 4-5 yrs old.

i never knew what people were saying, but i just loved it

  • Coach Bobby is the Only guy who could Chew GUM and eat BOILED EGGS at the same Time!!!!!!!

  • Go get me some salt....SALT

  • Do ya want a thigh or a wing or somethin'? I also love how Coach refers tp himself in the 3rd person!

  • can you get me some salt? salt!!!?

  • Never get less than 12 hours sleep?!? WTF! That is some cushy teaching job he's got!

  • I like how when the team is losing he is wearing sweats to the game, but when they start winning he starts wearing the suit. Nice attention to detail by the movie crew.

  • The word "cheesy" has been overused you either think something is good or bad.

  • This is one of the funniest scenes of any movie of all time. I can't understand why this actor didn't do more movies.

  • bikes not for sale francisis but peewee my father said that anything negotianable

  • I love this character!!! This always made me laugh!!

  • 12 hours sleep, WTF

  • Cream cheese

  • Could you imagaine if Coach Finstock was in charge of any one of the top teams in the NBA these days?!

    God help us all...!

  • I think he is - that's Isiah Thomas isn't it?

  • I found Bobby Finstock character in this movie very hillarious in this movie too. It's like he don't want to hear about teenage problems, so he contrives this absurd dialogue with Scotty in the belief that Scotty wants to borrow money. Only to leave Scotty more confused than when he went in to see the coach. I think the reason we like this character is because he can bs his way out of a sticky situation, without seeming uncaring and cold.

  • Hilarious - almost forgot how good his lines are.

  • Brilliant. Great character. Michael J Fox's timing is pretty good, too.

  • I wish I knew this before... I was once hustled by a card shark named Memphis Monroe

  • Yeah, I met a guy named Albuquerque Slim once. Unfortunately, I thought New Mexico was in Mexico (like NYC is in NY) so I played him and lost big.

"Strip Pinochle" doesn't even make sense and I would recommend no one ever attempt it.

  • What a great YouTube addition!!!! Bobby Finstock could very well be the most underrated character of the 80s.

  • OMFG YES!

  • This may be a cheesy '80s movie, but the coach and the drama teacher are both fucking hilarious.
