HEY... you guys, this is so cool you video taped this. I am a guitarist/singer/songwriter myself and have always loved you guys. With that being said, most people truly don't realize how much work actually goes into writing a song. It takes a lot of practice and patience working with the rest of the band to make it all come together. And that's just one song. Now multiply that times at least 8-10 songs per album. It really is a lot of work. But at least it's "Extremely" rewarding!

I don't know if this is how it really went.....I know if was Nuno. So ya start off with a riff and ya add some vocals....sure! The bass player and drummer didn't have any input here on the video. Maybe they didn't really care. Very few Queen songs were made that way! Everyone had an input or idea! Overall it's okay.........maybe Gary and Nuno had all the "rights"...I dunno. I want every member to have a say and if you don't have "a say", you're out!

Dissapointing there's no DVD collection of this as well as Tour Bus Blues, End of the Road, Riff in Peace, etc. I'd buy it! Best rock band ever. Wish I could have been at the Beacon in NYC in '93; amazing performance by what I see on videos! Have never been to one of their live shows. My great loss. Watching Nuno-Gary create RIP is a privilege. Nuno .... artist, genius, brilliant, master musician, writer, arranger, producer, guitar god, control freak? All this and much more. Bless him!

This is my all time favorite solo. It must feel so amazing to get together with another person and just write a song. It seems like its very gratifying and draning at the same time.But also very rewarding especially if it is truly coming from your heart.

I had heard this song a while back(I'm thinking the 90's) one timeand all I could remember of it was "give peace a chance". I did some looking intoit and found who it was and downloaded it and it has been one of my favorites since. Awesome song!

One genius trying to get the others band mates excited. Nuno just combined the Beatles, funk, hard rock, politics and philosopy into a 3 minutes song. The other guys run off to drink beer and Nuno sits with his tape cassette perfecting.

I don't think it was the other guys's choice to not help though. Nuno is obviously in control of everything, and I really doubt the others get that much say into the actual song, probably not so much even in their own parts. Nuno prefers to do the writing and perfecting on his own. Plus drinking beer is just good old fun lol

@menacebrw:The others have more input that you thint. They've co-written songs with Nuno and Gary. You make Nuno sound like a Nazi who is not open to anyone else's ideas. The fact is Nuno's mind is always working. I seriously don't think it ever stops and music is such a huge part of who he is that he is constantly creating. I do think Nuno drives a lot of what goes on, but I'm not sure it's his desire to dominate everything as much as it is his prolific creativity. He never stops.
