worked flogging t shirts for this lot in the 90's..great band and top blokes..used to love this track..'everyone stop what you're doing and listen to the band!' :)
Met Rick Witter on the CH4 Eggs On Legs Tour In Norwich, Norfolk England in the midd 90's. Nice bloke Pissing down with rain, early morning.Thinking to myself, their off to stardom and I'm off to work. They never really broke the mainstream but what a powerfull band. There music cuts deap with me.
I'm from York, I'm all for remembering half decent indie bands from the 90s, I've served Rik Witter a couple of times in the shop I work in and he's a nice bloke, however, leagues abover Cast and Oasis? MY ARSE.
JUST ADDED TO SW4 2010 LINEUP... Carl Cox, John Digweed, Vitalic, Dubfire, Paul Oakenfold, Sharam, Boys Noize, Erol Alkan, Joris Voorn, Mark Knight, Skream & Benga, Josh Wink, Mutant Clan, Switch, Gareth Emery, A Trak, Judge Jules, Ms Dynamite, Andy C, Christian Smith, Guy J, Giuseppe Ottaviani [Live], Funkagenda, Dave Spoon, Joachim Garraud, Housemeister, DJedjotronic, Shadow Dancer [Live], Jack Beats, Mary Ann Hobbs (Radio 1), For full arena breakdown: southwestfour(dot)com/artists.html
honestly, seeing them live in 2009 was the highlight of the year, got to meet them and have a beer with them after was honestly the best thing ever! we were very lucky
ok i'll tell you....they were on a train back to YORK and they counted the number of huts..seriiouly..I always thought it was the number times the nomads had ran from HULL...
great tune! but the riff is just kinda whats the story morning glory by oasis lol...then again oasis were the biggest band at the time...even robbie williams tried to sing like liam gallagher!
Its the same 2 chords, Em and Dsus2, but the riff (b - 3 -3-3b) is not here. Only so many chords in music mate.
Music is music, nothing is better, just subjective preference of what we choose to listen to. Oasis, Shed Seven, Ocean Colour Scene, The Verve, Bluetones, Weller, everyone, just love it!
Link: Getting Better by The Beatles! :D "Its getting better all teh time" is the main line, because if your gonna use somones music you steal from the best :D 90s was about that! :D
Does sound like WTSMG by Oasis a bit, but what the hell!! Still love this. And I remember TEACHERS, great show!

But the same rules apply to the Bluetones, Ocean Colour Scene etc. Media hate them, so their popularity hit a peak they cant go past.
But at least we know better eh.
