  • Easy tiger ;-)

  • i snogged the drummer when i was 16!!!!!!! years ago at the Portsmouth Pyramids! still have a crush on him though!!!

  • Met Rick Witter on the CH4 Eggs On Legs Tour In Norwich, Norfolk England in the midd 90's. Nice bloke Pissing down with rain, early morning.Thinking to myself, their off to stardom and I'm off to work. They never really broke the mainstream but what a powerfull band. There music cuts deap with me.

  • ow ow love shed 7 . suck ma ballls

  • top tune!!!

  • @lechevaliermalfet1 feckin love it

  • cant wait to see them in their home town on the 16th and 17th sept/10

  • Is it me...or we're Shed 7 so fucking underrated as to be a crying f*cking shame ?

  • @DaCuDesign so underrated ,a fecking great band

  • Oh baby, that first ten seconds before the band kicks in, everytime the DJ stuck it on you just new the dancefloor was about to EXPLODE!!!

  • best band ever

  • 'Maximum High' is up there with the best 'Brit Pop era' albums.

    Surely, you also think so?

  • just like inspiral carpets, shed seven are massivley

    underated.

  • this is JUST A GOOD SONG and shed7 are leagues above cast and quoasis fact

  • @TheHowie1972

I'm from York, I'm all for remembering half decent indie bands from the 90s, I've served Rik Witter a couple of times in the shop I work in and he's a nice bloke, however, leagues abover Cast and Oasis? MY ARSE.

  • @ycfc: they were sexier than Cast or Oasis though, you have to admit that.

  • @Drummerguyyy -- i knw what you mean. It sounds like Cast to me, u knw that band with John Power in it. Av a listen

  • @Drummerguyyy and me. The riff is kinda the same just sped up. Which is abit dodgy

  • Awesome song. Why is Youtube overrun with "chasing rainbows" videos?

  • JUST ADDED TO SW4 2010 LINEUP... Carl Cox, John Digweed, Vitalic, Dubfire, Paul Oakenfold, Sharam, Boys Noize, Erol Alkan, Joris Voorn, Mark Knight, Skream & Benga, Josh Wink, Mutant Clan, Switch, Gareth Emery, A Trak, Judge Jules, Ms Dynamite, Andy C, Christian Smith, Guy J, Giuseppe Ottaviani [Live], Funkagenda, Dave Spoon, Joachim Garraud, Housemeister, DJedjotronic, Shadow Dancer [Live], Jack Beats, Mary Ann Hobbs (Radio 1), For full arena breakdown: southwestfour(dot)com/artists.html

  • Class live band........!!!!

  • god this lot were good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • honestly, seeing them live in 2009 was the highlight of the year, got to meet them and have a beer with them after was honestly the best thing ever! we were very lucky

  • Almost...

"Shed Seven" is the name of an engine shed near York railway station.

Still a good name for a band though!

  • Do you know how they got there name??

  • ok i'll tell you....they were on a train back to YORK and they counted the number of huts..seriiouly..I always thought it was the number times the nomads had ran from HULL...

  • and u know this how? do u believe everything u read?

  • no he isnt, where did u think that up? he's called rick witter, a lad from york...

  • Agree mate, even if they were from YORK! Still like Dolphin tho'...still got the album on cassette somewhere! lol

  • Funnily enough, its still getting better!

  • magic in 90s only killers up with them now

  • Love this song- but whats weird now is that he looks like will fucking young!!!

  • Possibly their best, still jump around like a loon whenever I hear it!!.

  • It's getting better everytime I listen to this song ! yeah yeah yeah! :)

  • yeah well said those 3 bands just are my teenage years!!

  • just found um by mistake - think there ace, deffo gonna have to do some checkin out, do they tour much??

  • TOO KEE YO EE HO HO

  • maximum high fantastic album falling from the sky my favourite should'v been a single

  • i dont understand why shed arent better known!

  • But the same rules apply to the Bluetones, Ocean Colour Scene etc. Media hate them, so their popularity hit a peak they cant go past.

But at least we know better eh.

  • great tune! but the riff is just kinda whats the story morning glory by oasis lol...then again oasis were the biggest band at the time...even robbie williams tried to sing like liam gallagher!

  • oasis were the biggest band but shed 7 were/are better. :)

  • Blur did win the battle of britpop so I don't know that oasis were the biggest of the time.

  • Its the same 2 chords, Em and Dsus2, but the riff (b - 3 -3-3b) is not here. Only so many chords in music mate.

Music is music, nothing is better, just subjective preference of what we choose to listen to. Oasis, Shed Seven, Ocean Colour Scene, The Verve, Bluetones, Weller, everyone, just love it!

Link: Getting Better by The Beatles! :D "Its getting better all teh time" is the main line, because if your gonna use somones music you steal from the best :D 90s was about that! :D

  • zzz zz z anorak!

  • Legends!

  • Used to drink with those guys in Fibbers. Go Sheds!

  • 1996

  • Pfft, noobs. Blur is much more inventive than these bands. I like Shed 7 though.

  • Amazing FUCKING Brilliant... My cuz is the Bass player nd they're just amazing probably better than blur and oasis

  • awsome , dont know about better than oasis but they piss all over blur!! long live shed seven!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
