They wrote these books as helping reminder for practicioneer, who were educated fencers already. Think it over: will you ever have the opportunity for the reality-check of your skills???

Maybe you should bother reading the other manuals of that period? There are only about 50 of them... Nevertheless I hereby stop writing to someone who thinks, he could understand issues, which havent been understand completely by real professionals - i mean people, who do actual swordfights with cuts, bloodstains and injuries...

The translation uses "Jump", assume we are taking this to mean a fast but controlled passing step rather then a two footed off the ground jump.
