The gov of Tamilnadu has made it so that any 1 from any caste can learn the vedas & practice as a priest in the temples. In essence such people can become brahmins. With time this process can be applied in grander scale. No where in the Hindu text does it say that a low cast MUST stay a low cast. That's the beauty of it, it is an adaptive religion with its core intent is to promote spirituality. Hence we need not be bound to laws that were made eons ago and r guided by morals of that era.
