He's talking about the fact that an Ice Age is coming and that industry and oil companies are purposely heating up the planet to counter it, which is based on the big climate scare of 1970's - the theories about Global COOLING - not warming. Which is interesting when you consider how those Climategate emails hacked before Copenhagen were all discussing "hiding the decline" in global temperatures.

No - that's not what he meant at all if you listen to the lyrics. He's talking about the fact that an Ice Age is coming and that industry and oil companies are purposely heating up the planet to counter it, which is based on the big climate scare of 1970's - the theories about Global COOLING - not warming. Which is interesting when you consider how those Climategate emails hacked before Copenhagen were all discussing "hiding the decline" in global temperatures.

I think that anyone can coment about whatever, and tom is one of those people who knows about the subject, I mean tom yorke is our voice and i like his music. if he tries to change the situation I`m with him and anyone who wants to do it.

I'm a scientist converted to politics (green energy, etc.). I can assure that people as Thom, Bono, etc. can do sometimes more for the planet than scientist and politicians...Most of the worldwide problems has a strong social component that must be also addressed. For this purpose, the most suitable people are usually artists and good journalists

Thom Yorke knows how to encourage millions to analyse society and politics with his lyrics and music.. he can blow your head off! He is one of the most brilliant and one of the most important artists today that rally makes sense.. if your saying he's words are irrelevant, then you should stick your ignorant ass with your keyboard and never comment..

Look daterwat666, it doesn't matter how many chinese are listening to thom. All Im saying is that no one should debunk someone just by saying "he's a musician" or "he's just a janitor!" One should dig first before saying anything. Yes maybe in general all the world will never change ways but we are not wasting our time, I mean whatever you are doing right now is worth doing from your perspective, so are everybody. Just keep the talks and please keep it healthy! We'll get to somewhere somehow.

i like radiohead, but i agree with you, although, his presence there makes his fans aware of global warming politics.
He does know how to bring a point to the table. At his defence, Tony blacked mailed him to be there. He mentions that early in the video.

Well, thanks for classifying me as a stupid-only observer. You know, it is possible to care about both climate change and Thom Yorke's looks at the same time. Those two things aren't mutually exclusive. I'm disappointed in the outcome of the Copenhagen summit as much as the next guy, but I just don't know what else I can say about climate change that hasn't been said already.

This is a badly presented programme (not that many of you will care what I think). Like the way they hold up that board at a really badly timed point and they have people walking around talking; it just looks like they're trying to be cool instead of informative and professional. They're narrowing the amount of people that will take this seriously.
