bad call you can't run with your arms at your side, yes it is the rule, however the spirit of the game rule trumps all rules and the only reason that got called is because LD threw is whinning pitty party, bad call (its not a bullshit call either just a tough one I don't think he should have made especially that late).

if you watch the replay its not a "running motion" that puts his arm in the balls path as LD kicks it Stammler raises his arm and the ball then makes contact to me this is a penalty...im not a galaxy fan im just sayin i think that was a proper call. If you look back at TFC vs FC Dallas that pen against Marvell Wynn is one that i think fits your description and should not have been made. This one though i think stammler raises his arm

Amazingly thoughtful and well written, I still disagree with it not being a running motion but I respect you opinion. If you can honestly imagine him being able to move his hand to interfer with the play with that reaction time, then yes spot kick, however its similar natural reaction to when a player in the wall protects his area...natural reaction, but its close enough to go either way just seems like a lot of time passed with a whinning LD before the call (correct or not) was made

I agree it was a reaction but it was in a motion for him to turn his back to the ball which is not a soccer move nor was it in my mind in the running motion. This is reminiscent of Kasey Keller getting a red for handling it outside of the area it would have hit him in the chest but he moved his arm into his body to help shield himself resulting in the ball striking his arm and the ensuing red. I do agree there was time before the call was made and perhaps LD did sway the ref to the right call

And what you did not know ejyounggun08, is that a fee was agreed for himt o go to div 1 side coventry amidst being linked with premier league teams. It was an issue obtaining a work permit that hindered his potential in england.

he went to the Premier League. he was at Bolton Wanderers. but then he joined Bradford City on loan and at first he was not first choice keeper, rather an understudy to Paul Henderson, an Aussie. which is fine by me, I like Paul because he plays for my favorite Championship side. anything else you want to mention? don't think you know me. i'm the most knowledgeable person in football, compared to every person i've ever met.

what? i don't know any black keepers that are top 20 in the world. except maybe Steve Mandanda. that is the dumbest thing i've ever heard about keepers. i myself am white, play keeper, i'm only 5'10" and i have the biggest hands for anyone i've ever known or met that is my height or pretty close to it. if you know anything about goalkeepers. the biggest gloves on the market are size 11. rare you'll see a 12. and i wear 11's. no one i know wears my size. unless their 6'5"+. even then it's unusual

That acrobatic save by Ricketts was truly amazing. Buddle should have done better. 1-0 against struggling NY is just "Ok". But a win is a win and thank gawd...They played better for sure, but need more shots on goal.
