The FQ400 have an enormous lag, and it is awful for road use!! On track, it is another story! This one have a quite decent lag, and for me, it is more important because I don' spend my time on a track, if it was the case, this wouldn't be the kind of car I would choose!

@twireco hows that tho as its not even a well knowen car top gear hsnt even tested it against a super car or anything like that i think tho a evo x fq400 wud have this around a track any day the evo 8 dose ot 60mph in 3.5 this will only do it in 3.8 that kinda tells me the evo has the quicker acceleration and subis never really had it when it came to the corners like th evo did stis dont have ayc which they shud cos its 1 awsome system and the evos u have raced are proably a normal
@gokuman63 I drove an evo 8 fq400 2.0L heavy mooded, is fast no doubt about it. the COSWORTH STI, in my way of view is a bit faster, actually you have to drive one of those then get your own conclution, STI and COSWORTH are built for rally and evolutions are for race track,, there is a diference between one with the other one.
here in europe cosworth comes with 475 hp stock 0-60 3-3 seconds... vs evo fq400 with 415 hp stock .....there is a diference dont you think!!!

@gokuman63 Subis never really had it when it comes to corners? Who won the 2011 North America Rally? Not Mitsubishi. A Subaru will always be better at rally, corners, and track than an Evo. Yes the Evo makes a better drag car because it has an iron block which is uncommon nowadays, allowing it to push higher boost levels safely. Stock the Evo has a larger turbo, a larger intercooler, and pushes 19.5psi of boost when a STI is 14.5psi. Let me know when Evos get DCCD. Oh Evos are gone after 2011...
@gokuman63 Haha the fq400 doesnt do 60 in 3.5s you clown, it was sales hype to boost sales, a 375bhp evo 8 with half the lag getting launch hard will be lucky to see 4.3 seconds, 25hp and more lag aint gonna make no difference, plus the clocks are so unaccurate that it might say 175mph but in reality they struggle to do 160+.
The difference between this subaru is it actually does what it says on the tin, sti's handle amazing on b roads, its just a myth caused by wrx's and uk turbos.
