Awesome! You guys were great! personally i never have an never will like the choirs that have choreography, because everyone has to be super into it, and that almost never happens. Normally my choir has more of an issue holding the less important long notes till the end, but you all did great with the correct counts for notes and what not. I just noticed that in "the lioness hunt" when you'd go "weh baba zinge la!" sometimes they didn't hit the right note on "weh" but great otherwise!
You guys did great! My school is doing the same song, only we have a whole bunch of solos though it. I got the Hakuna Matata solo. :) Plus, we're adding medleys from Mary Poppins, The Little Mermaid, and other Disney movies.
Coronado lubbock is doing this piece this year. It's a good piece and I feel ur choir does a good job performing it. The filming could have been better but it's an overall good performance. The only flaw I see is the lack of choir students. The program needs could use more people. That choir is about the size of our varsity. But still it is a good performance

Wow, people need to shut up and quit putting us down. Sure, maybe we slipped up. We were nervous. Plus, we didn't practice all that much. Only one rehearsal. Give us a break. I think we did amazing, considering we learned that whole song in less than two months.

Ok, I was in that. Um, the choir director is freaking CRAZY. no one liked the choreography. it was DUMB. and i completely agree on the sopranos vocal maturity. they've always sounded really squeaky and young.
this would be a lot more powerful without the choreography and thigh smacking and clapping. it made it look goofy. also, the balance isn't too great. but over all its pretty sweet.
the sopranos need to work on vocal maturity. the voice is feeble and squeaky at best. two male soloists - fabulous. but the bass and tenor parts are crucial. they keep the rhythm and set a foundation. choir is like a cake. bass and tenor are the cake it self. the altos are frosting. and sopranos are the topping [candles, sprinkles, etc.] but overall fantastic, just work on balance.
yet i think if you're going to have choreography at all it should have some variation, and the was little if any vocal balance the sound pyramid was inverted. all i could hear was soprano. i know its the melody and all but its just people singing if the piece has no harmony, or the harmony is faint.
Someone can't blend to save their life...
Hire a choreographer next time, though. O_o

this is a little screechy, but i dont blame the singers, it's due to recording insufficiencies, and the multitudes of young voices.
