  • Tell me how much you want for the other one.

  • I once had a Sachs engine in my Moto-Ski snowmobile.

  • I'll have a double espresso, please.

  • can i buy one? :(

  • Very good. You can still buy engines of this type for nitro cars and planes. I believe they will rev to 20.000 rpm plus, dependant on the size.

  • has there been any record or anyone that has bridge ported one of these engines? as rediculous as it sounds

  • Why is horse breeding in the suggestions .. ?

  • would you be willing to sell one of them

  • I have something else to add about these engines; they are bridge-ported from the factory, which is why they tend to have a rather "lumpy" idle.

  • Love the Wankel idle, Rev- Rev- Rev- Rev- Rev- Rev- Rev- Rev- Rev- Rev

    Ahhhh, so great.

  • @hellman100 no, no - brap brap brap brap brap.... :p

  • nice piece

  • Hi i own one of those engines but cannot find any onfo on it. i seem to have lost the bolts that hold the front cover that says sachs on it to the main block can you send me a private message or leave a coment on my page. thank you

  • this is great. i bet you can use this motor on a bicycle hehehe.

  • i used my wankel (the above) on a minibike and its already run 15000 hours and still works fine...

  • How much did it cost?

  • dude, put that in a go cart!!!

  • found one for sale in my area but looks like crap and guy wants $500

  • how did you get that brand new

  • I'm not usually a fan of small engines. But thats cool. A little mini rota.

  • Sounds like my old fucked out mower. Weak!!!!!!!!

  • Verry nice! :)

  • i was given one years ago in pieces...a bit past being anything more than an ornament :(

love to see what a few port mods would do... :D

  • Wow I haven't heard that name in years! I had a Sachs 2 stroke moped in high school (mid-1980's).. It only did about 18 MPH, but got almost 150MPG! It had a separate oil tank for the 2 stroke oil, so I could actually just pull up to a gas station to fill it up. Back then I think it took about $1.50-$2.00US to fill the tank! That would usually last me about 2 weeks.. Aah, the good 'ol days! loll :o)

  • Yes, that's sweet. I bought it from a private seller, who found a couple of them in old garage...See my other vids of KM-48...

  • @Ciowiec check my vid out. i have put my km48 on a mobility scooter will post vid of it running soon.

  • that engine sounds beautiful..where did you buy it at?

  • Piston engines have always been and damn waste of energy. Imagine: You produce a lot of energy to push a piston down, which then comes back with about the same force but in the opposite direction. This is steam engine design.

Unfortunately - wasting energy is what producers of gasoline want. Thats why wankel engines haven't undergone any real improvement in the past 60 years.

  • take the muffler off :P

  • hey nice rotary, i just got one of these that is fitted to a water pump. I tried to get it to run but it wouldnt it would just fire. what mixture of fuel do yo u run this engine on, and are there any common problems why they wont run.

  • hi, i need 2 of them you can sell to me?

  • they also used wankel engines in snowmobiles

  • co to je ???

  • They used to put these on toothbrushes before they invented the electric one but they were a bit heavy :-(

  • What were these engines used in?

  • These were used in small electric generators, air compressors, outboard propulsion, like others stationary engines.....

Engine life was about 1500 hrs at steady speed 3000 rev/min, or 1000 hrs at 4500 rev/min - tested in factory.....

  • Was their life span good compared to simular sized piston engines?

  • Theese engines was Ist generation of wankels, and first multipurpose engines produced. Sachs used for apex seals material called IKA - it worked well at constant high temperatures (just like in stationary engines), and its lifespan was like 2-stroke unit. But it was unhappy when faced with cold starts, temperature variations and short hauls..Next generation engines (Suzuki RE5 or 588 Norton Commander) were as good as 4strokes - some RE5 had over 100 000 miles, on tacho without overhaul...

  • sell 2nd NOS to me :D

  • @Ciowiec 60 days of constant rpm.. not too long If you used it about two and a half hour every day it woulsd last about two years before it needed overhaul... hmmm.. I think i'd go for a Sachs piston engine instead...

  • Awesome wanker engine!!

  • Geee I had one a few years back (also mounted on a wood base) I sold it on eBay but didn't know that it was a Wankel so I didnt get much for it), they certainlly have a unique design & sound neat too!

  • maybe it could run on homemade HHO using stainless steel wool plates

  • I have one of these... but it is missing the pull start. Do you know of anyone who has parts? Maybe even in Germany? Or the US? Thank you!

  • you can make one yourself

  • like a single rotor 10A or 12a?

  • try on ebay de - from "veho-zweiradteile" user, search "sachs stamo"

  • @SamStrube ive got one spare if you need it, im in australia though

  • @someonesleo ill buy it!

  • i want one of these for a go kart, it would be cool

  • it sounds very smooth and powerful

  • Typical rotary, they cant wait to get cut loose!!!!!!!!

  • I know, it was just painted in factory :-/ But I keep it in warm and dry garage, so maybe it will be nice....

  • how mutch would you sell one for

  • Not bad i have two of them.

But the color on your exauhst wouldn't stay there long.

  • lots op HP!

  • this is neat i have the 303 on my arctic cat panther. can you show some more of this gem! wish i could find a nice small stationary like that one! i like wankels!
