I'm so sad because my 9 years old chinchilla (Stitch) passed away a few days ago (the 27th of december) and I miss him so much !! it's an undescribable feeling.....

When i first decided to get a chinchilla,i found your channel and in the first month or two of getting my chinchilla,i continued to watch your channel, and had gotten all the essentials based on your recommendations,including the cage.I named my chinchilla Shadow,not just because he was a fancy black chinchilla,but because he enjoyed the shadows.He is now 2 years old, and has made me extremely happy.I cant thank you or tiki enough.I bet she misses you as much as you miss her. chinchillas live in crevices in the andes mountains, and are used to jumping/falling semitall distances. I've heard that the max height without an injury is 15ft. of course, that varies with each chinchilla. Sounds like Travis is an expert jumper :D, and just bit his lip when he landed.

My chinchilla sometimes gets on top of the fan, 10 ft. above (I have no idea how she does it. Maybe climbs the TV?) and jumps down onto the floor (hard wood btw) or on my bed. hope hes ok

dude, im so sorry about your loss dude, i had a basset hound puppy and one morning i found her lying on the ground with her neck ripped open...it turns out she was attacked by a pack of racoons in the middle of the night....i know how it feels, best of wishes and the 1 person who disliked this has no heart.....youll see your hairy little friend again someday....

i need oyur help and your the only one on the internet that can give it to me. my chinchilla travis was out and i came back form a roadtrip tonight and i was very tired and it slipped my mind that a window was eracked ever so slightly and when i went to take him of the ledge as carefully as i can he jumped out the 2nd story window onto a hard wood deck. my moms a nure and we brought him upstairs and hes eating and drinking and hopping around normally, no limping theres a small cut on his lip

if you have carpeting ..I would say its ok

but Ive learned the hard way ...to never have the cage within maybe 6 feet of the bed

as you know Tiki ran and mis-stepped

he smashed into the side and immediately fell to floor...his neck was broken

GOSH...tit was so so so sad

certainly eating paper, magazines isnt the best for him

1st rule is to totally chin proof your room

I let them eat the baseboards and walls, and get that fixed every 2 years

otherwise , no books, no wires, no holes to get through, no sneakers

get plenty of good chew stuff like luckylogs(dot)com for example

and chin[proof
