In all honesty, I think Ohio State finishes 3rd or 4th in the Big 10 this year. Pryor has improved but he's lost his weapons and much of the offensive line, so the passing game is a wash from last year. Boom Herron needs to step up if OSU wants to have a good running game, the OSU offense looked pretty unimpressive last year when Beanie was out (including that near loss to Ohio). The most important game will be the USC game, but unfortunately I think Ohio State loses in a rout.

As for the PSU games, good history there, but I am more interested in recent years, e.g. 2000 and on or the beginning of the BCS era(98ish and on)

FSU and Tenn were good teams, but nowhere near the caliber of USC. OSU takes a lot of heat for their big losses but people forget, they are against the best teams in the nation.

It'll definitely improve the conference image if Ohio State upsets USC, but I unfortunately don't see that happening.

As far as late 1999 through 2004 goes, that's a time period PSU fans hate to think of, the "Dark Years". I think at the end of the year, FSU in 2005 was a great team, played more like the #4 team than the #22 team in their last few games.

I also notice that people forget some big OSU wins during the regular season, like in 2006 at Texas.

I honestly think last year, something I've been saying since day one, that USC and Utah were the best teams last year and should have been playing for all the marbles. Imagine if Texas hadn't lost to Texas Tech and Penn State hadn't lost to Iowa. Texas dominates Missouri again and faces Penn State and Penn State takes home the hardwood. Also, were you surprised how easily Utah overpowered Alabama in what was essentially a road game? It'd be like OSU playing Florida at Ford Field IMO.

I think USC would have beat Florida, Texas, Oklahoma, and Alabama by a score like that 2004 55-19 polishing when USC played the Sooners. And despite what some said, I think based on how Utah played against Alabama, they could have handled Florida. I say that because the SEC championship game was a back and forth seesaw game with Alabama leading going into the 4th, the Sugar Bowl was just dominated by Utah from the get-go.

The way we played against OSU, I think our defense COULD hang in there. We've been struggling lately.

USC still has a very weak schedule of their own. Some games they are dominant; other games they look vulnerable.

Plus, they should kill everyone since their team is filled with 5 star recruits at every position.
