This is all a big scam. The MP's expenses scandal has been designed to get us the people, to ask for change to the system. While we're all blindly criticizing the expense scandal and calling for change, the powers that be, are plotting to change the system in a very different way than you think!!!
Webber earns $150,000 a week. I saw him in the House of Lords condemning p2p file sharing sites, suggesting that 'his' industry was under threat. I feel sorry for our MPs having to rub shoulders with the likes of Webber and Waterman. How embarrassing being at a party where everyone knows how little you earn in comparison to them. World leaders have pride like the rest of us, give them a decent wage and they wont be so inclined to cook the books to keep up with the 'Jones'.

I'm glad someone at last pointed out the real nub of the matter. Is parliament or the people sovriegn.
Its a fight 350 years overdue. Its baout time that MPs realised they are a necessary evil rather than something deserving of respect.
They are rarely right, honourable, or anything else worth the bother of getting up and putting a X in a box.
Its about time we had a complete abolition of the current system of government. More MP, tied closer to their constituencies and no party system.
