Finally a bit of common sense. The video is about a mate helping a mate, out of a very bad situation. His car was about to sink further into the sand then causing a suction effect which would stop it from being pulled out by any 4x4. Therefore we only had one try to do it safely and quickly, hence the running around. Yes the Nissan is the better 4wd, yes the VW is a city car, but when you’re stuck does it matter who pulls who!

This is not a matter of Toureg versing a NIssan. Besides, that Nissan with its lift kit, off road tyres would do much better than the Toureg on sand SIMPLY BECAUSE IT HAS BETTER GROUND CLEARANCE. You can pay a hell of a lot more for some European Technologically advanced car, but if it dont have the ground clearance, its going to come off second best.

Why? The Touareg is superior in every category (except cost) It can tow more. It has WAY better suspension. It handles better. It's safer. It brakes (8 piston Brembo's front!!) are track quality and probably like 200% better. It gets better fuel economy. Build quality is vastly superior (from the materials to the actual welding) Etc, etc. Again, why?

@joinedinpain Umm, I doubt the Touareg can tow more. Unless it can tow 2800kg I doubt it, because it is like twice the weight of the car. Also, suspension is probably not an issue on a hardcore offroader like the patrol. I don't disagree on the fact that the car is a much safer and better ride with more fuel economy. But hello?`... It costs 5x more than the patrol and is probably 10 years newer! Ofcourse it will be improved.. You must be a moron not to understand that.
